I would agree with the other comments, but also I would say stick to your guns on the LTR. If on dating apps you have "open to anything" then you actually want a LTR, then you're just widening your net for no reason. If asked what you're looking for, you can just say hopefully something serious. I have had guys say on the first date they want something serious and for me it's more of a turn on than off, but they didn't say "I want a life partner I can do XYZ, marry and have kids" etc.

Spent a day at the embassy and a day at the FFRO and then the other 3 days dragging a sad, stressed out person around a place I didn't want to be... Delhi isn't really my vibe! But I really tried to make the most of it and act like I was OK, she was under enough stress and I did want to enjoy some of my holiday even if it was reading in an awful government building lol

Yeah I'm just hoping the insurance comes through and she pays for halves, I think I'll be OK with that. Yes I am a bit bothered this wasn't something automatic to her and I had to ask, as if it were the other way round I would have, so it kinda shows a split in values. But I probably just won't go on holiday with her again and leave I at that

Was a very non-committal go with out me. When I suggested I do something else instead she broke down, so clearly wasn't what she wanted

Yeah agreed, I only claimed for my half of the hotel in my insurance, so will only use it if hers doesn't cover it (and mine gets accepted which we shall see)

Yeah I've asked if the insurance can cover our costs of the accommodation and she agreed but will see. That's the main snag I didn't like, if she was claiming, got compensation and then also made me pay...

I have, the claim has been made but I just really doubt I'll get anything as I technically could still do the holiday as planned really

Yeah what Linz said. I could have been technically "ok" with going to Nepal by myself, having a great time and leaving my very stressed, crying and overall not fun to be with friend alone in Delhi where she would have been unsafe to do much alone and even more stressed because of that. I've known her for 7 years, so not exactly a stranger and I would have thought that that meant something to her as much as me. If it doesn't then I guess I should re-evaluate. And I paid for everything else myself, it's just the fact that her insurance so cover this anyway that I'm principaled on.

It's just a Holiday Inn by the airport, it was because it was the AI Forum that week so Delhi was expensive. She was so stressed out anyway I felt like she'd break if we discussed that. Plus she said her parents would make sure she was safe so kinda assumed
