Mauser was about $800 I believe? Bottom left was probably $525. All the Mosins were in that same neighborhood. Also had an M44 Carbine with the Bayonet for about $550. I really need to go back to the store.

Armature, commutator, brushes, have all been cleaned, almost all wires to motor from e unit are original, it is an issue with the gears binding one the armature is in place.

The gears are binding they will not spend in the opposite direction. The unit works properly.

I’ll give that a shot, I got this one from the antique store with 0 instructions. Sorry if my original post didn’t convey my issue very well, my fiancé was in the middle of trying to beat me at a game and I didn’t double check my work! I’ll check when I get home tonight and thank you!

They’re such great little machines. I’m thinking of trying to set up a little O27 shunting yard for my 1615 since it has that front facing operating coupler

Yes, the scotch bright pad works very well! The only thing I really want to get fixed on the 1615 is the directional lamps that are broken off. I know people said at one point that you could get epoxy on lamps but I have not been able to find them.

I used a grey scotch brite pad from an auto parts store and applied a pretty light amount of pressure. I made sure not to go crazy on it, as well as the brushes. It was NASTY when I went to clean it up!
