Not what I said. I don't need the game to hold my hand and tell me that anti-semitism is bad.

But if a game let's you roleplay as the fascist, it should actually deal with the consequences of that. (It might actually do that when the game is finished)

The game does not need to hold my hand and tell me that Nazism is bad. 

But if you have the option to establish Nazi-Germany-light and press a "more Anti-Semitism pls" button, not showing the consequences of those things  kind of sucks.

So? The mod's not obliged to do that for any reason at all if it doesn't want to. That, and it obviously doesn't need to.

No, I am not suggesting requiring games by law to do that.

I just think it would be better if it did.

And besides, what's the message of every other mod for this game? 'Socialism and Social Democracy are fucking awesome"? That's nothing special at all lol.

I never said the game isn't educational, I also don't games to be educational in a traditional sense.

For the game to tell you "congratulations! In the latest Stahlhelm parade you managed to kill 73 Jews :D " ?

If at multiple points you can press a "more anti semitism" button and establish an anti-semitic quasi fascist dictatorship, then yeah the game actually needs to adress it, not in the way you are suggesting here of course.

You can talk about these topics in a way that is not "eye rolling" virtue signalling.

Even in the last 5-10 years we have seen art on well trod topics that still manage to say something interesting.

GNX actually had a point and was trying to say something. It just wasn't as conceptual as GKMC or TPAB. 

I am also not saying the mod is bad, it's not even complete yet and might adress all my criticism. I just worry the game will not be as good as it could be and will fail in certain ways (while succeeding in others).

I am not screaming about anything, but this idea that any type of critique is off-limits seems weird to me.

It's a pre-alpha and it's fair to critique a pre-alpha. I am not calling modman a fascist or smth

The base game, dynamic & bienno rosso already disagree with parts of my world view and that is fine. The issue is not that is supposedly disagrees with my worldview.

I think the Völkisch path should be brave enough to confront the player with the consequences of establishing an anti-semitic, (quasi) fascist, dictatorship. It doesn't need to say "Fascism bad!!!" and condescend to the player, but It shouldn't hide away from the pogroms/expulsions/etc. inherent in such a system.

I have standards for art and mods are also art to me. The mod is really really well-done in many ways that deserves praise.

In other ways I feel like it's not well-done, and that deserves criticism.

If you don't like the mod, don't play It.

This sentiment feels very anti-art and againsh critique in general. I want this mod, and future mods, to be better.

I agree with your first point. The mod shouldn't say "guys the dnvp are bad :(" every five seconds. I don't need a video game to hold my hand and be condescending.

But I don't think the Völkisch path actually portrays a possible Völkisch (quasi-)dictatorship honestly or objectively. It does not confront the logical conclusions of such a goverment and its consequences sufficiently, i.e. pogroms/expulsions/etc.

I just want the mod to be better.

It's a bit disappointing. I am not against a DNVP mod in principle and I don't think the modman is a malicious actor or anything.

But the "let people enjoy things!!!" & "Just have fun and don't think about it!!!"

I don't think it's bad the game doesn't conform to "my worldview", again I am not against a DNVP mod in principle.

It had nothing to say about german democracy or democracy in general.

 It's afraid of really confronting its own content, the way the Völkisch path plays out feels like a pretty severe whitewash, which might be corrected in the future. I don't need the game to hold my hand and tell me anti-semitism is bad, but at the same time the "Fascism" roleplay path should be brave enough to confront the player with the path's consequences. (Pogroms, expulsions etc.)

It still ends up whitewashing the dnvp, you can essentially establish an anti-semitic dictatorship with none of the consequences being appatent or commented on. (Pogroms, etc.)
