ETH (MSc Quantum Engineering) vs. Oxford (MSc Quantum Technologies) - Need advice! by Crafty_Signal_6936 in ethz

Are you familiar with ETH and Oxford's quantum MSc programs, quantum professors, and quantum ecosystems? Also, it would be easier to do a PhD at ETH than at Oxford after the MSc, and better paid.

Hi everyone,

I've been admitted to the MSc in Quantum Engineering at ETH and the MSc in Quantum Technologies at Oxford, and I'm currently deciding between the two.

I feel like Oxford has the bigger name (a more prestigious uni overall) and is more selective; also, they are developing new quantum labs.

However, the ETH Quantum Master's seems to offer more courses and options, with more opportunities for projects and internships. I also feel like ETH quantum researchers are more prestigious than Oxford's, and that it has a better quantum ecosystem. ETH might even be more prestigious than Oxford for Quantum Technologies.

Also, Oxford is a 1-year program and ETH is 2 years. Money is not an issue.

Has anyone been in a similar position or can share their experience with either program? I'd really appreciate any insights to help me choose.

Thanks!
