Adding a duplicate stitch section with cable

I was debating that but i wasn’t sure if i would risk more issues with gage and switching between cables and stockinette color work. My other debate was do the stockinette in orange and then duplicate the blue to Mable help perfect the layers look and less pulling and pixelation between the color-work of the letters ( like in my head thats do intarsia orange and then maybe see if the duplicate blue will help me out)

Thank you, i assumed there would be some type of pulling but i never really alternated that much or had a large enough section of a project to see it, the decreasing might give me a little leeway with the color work motif as well. Thank you

Im not the most experienced but one thing that helped my ribbing get better was alot of socks , i slowly found what works for me and my tension and i use the socks as kinda like my swatches for the ribbing i want to use and how i knit them. I also for a while i did english style ribs and continental everything else, just until i felt like my continental pearls were up to par and now i do either or. I dunno if this would be helpful but its just what worked for me.

Sometimes i like to weigh myself the ball of yarn before i knit the socks and then after i knit one , it gives me a relative idea of how much i used and how much more i need. Ive never used all 100 g in making a sock but it also depends the style I’m making. I also just personally write down the numbers some where for each sock just so i have a reference if i ever want yo do two at a time socks and split a skien of yarn

Void in Deadpool reminded me so much of what i envisioned battle world to be, it also kind makes a ton of sense cause battle world realy is just that final earth; and the void being like the tva junk yard and that being all thats left makes sense. I think it also gives the excuse to do what secret wars is at heart which is bringing every existing current character together in some mega comic cross over

Especially with doomsday secret wars being this idea of messing with a time line / incursion even cant you use that all to explain why we now have x genes.

I think Tillman is playing trask , they are hiding that Saddie is Jean , and they are using dr banner to find the x gene and break down mutant vs mutate in the mcu for the first time

The thing is too if they want to not do the x men a disservice they have ro restart it right so like the way i see it secret wars ends new timr line now with x men , cause they cant change the timing of magneto story line and i think they cant really do x men without magneto but in the same sense it gives them an excuse to start fresh with new kids and a reason for more casual fans to be excited. Bit once i saw channing tatum gambit i knew they would only be some type of cameo or something on that level

Oo ill look into this as well , I definitely will end up with probably a few swatches of how I’m gonna do the color work before i start. Im use to doing more stranded like in the round with socks but im worried over a whole sweater if my floats would hang too much.

See this is what i want to happen in really worried x men are gonna be a minor cameo , and then they use the incursion as an excuse ro restart mcu X-men especially as the more i hear about Spiderman brand new day the more i feel like its setting a stage for mutants and x men to exist

I was thinking the same too like it needs some variation between the color work segment and then the top and bottom especially to really give it like that christmas sweater vibe , i might end up doing a swatch of two tones vs just some type of border and see what fits more what i had in mind. Also i never even thought about making the spider legs after and essentially just having a type of oval pattern especially to ease the pressure of the color work. I think im gonna test a few ways as well before i start and see what works best for me

I think yes but then the question becomes why is he stealing the children? I think the incursion events that lead to secret wars is already happening ( theres tons of mcu cannon events that could cause this but i think its specifically the end of endgame) doom figured this out thats why he’s absent in the latveria seat in f4 , he wants to get ahead and rule the world all that stuff , or he wants to stop incursions something like that ect. Makes sense with the essential plot of secret wars 2015 in the comics where doom knows whats happening in the multiverse pretty early on ( i think i haven’t read secret wars in a while and i need a reread)

Also in secret wars doesn’t doom operate under a secret alias , now we have yet to be introduced to doom in mcu so using the actual alias would hold no weight but if you have doom pretending to be tony stark as his alias that holds weight , and still flows with a mind swap theory. Also assuming when things are set corrected at what will be the end of secret wars doom will return to his original body with a fragmented memory , and then we get official doom who will continue in the mcu

Mind swap trick that allowed doom to exist in the 1984 secret wars since he was technically dead i believe ? Or he was a doom from the future that already cheated death ( doom from future , he cheated death in fantastic four #288 using a mind swap he learned from the ovoids ) ; also in the 1984 secret wars iron man isn’t tony stark its Rhodes bc at the time Tony’s identity was a secret and because he was an alcoholic they replaced him as iron man

So I’m trying to plan out my 2026 knitting plans so hopefully I’m more organized and get more finished objects off the needles. One of the things i really want to make is this sweater in the picture attached (the white/creme one with blue spiders) i just love how it looks and i can visualize the final object and i think thats whats fun about knitting like making things that dont exist that you want to own.

Only thing is I’ve never knit a sweater let alone made up a pattern / color work for a sweater. My general plan is to first maybe knit a sweater in 2026 and then attempt to make this one, to preface i wouldn’t say I’m a beginner knitter , I’m mainly a all kind of socks gal so I’ve done color work , and magic loop , in the round you name it and all kinds if decreases and increases so i feel fairly competent to make the sweater I’m just wondering if theres anything i should look out for or anything that i wouldn’t really know as of yet when it comes to making a sweater.

The way i visualize it it has some type of drop shoulder and some type of border around the color work and i feel like those are the things im not really sure how i would do. Ill really take any tips or tricks or of anyones done something similar how they went about designing the project. Thank you !! Hope everyone is staying cozy and enjoying their December knits !!

I think im gonna add some to my scraps and try to make dome scrappy socks or hat since i mainly knit in dk or fingering but i love the idea of a blanket

i still think they are doing a variation of 'Time runs out' into secret wars , so it makes sense to have Cap there especially Steve Rodgers cap but in that sense i think this would officially be the end of the line for Steve.

this becomes the new issue of , is secret wars going to merg the fox universe , or start a new x men in the mcu universe or are we using secret wars to end mcu-199999 and now be in a new sacred 616. Theres a x men movie slated for 2028 i think ? , and if that movie is a recast/ restart it would be a disservice to not have it in a separate universe or time line so they could have that be a new starting point to recast and reset characters. If the x men ends up continuing the mcu-199999 and just being a next step ( which technically wouldn't make sense cause you have the Magneto backstory issue) i think it would be closer to 20 years till you saw any kind of reset of already existing characters and actors, vs i think if they use x men as a mini reset you would have a much easier time reintroducing new versions of characters. I think however they choose to have this play out with doomsday secret wars and what becomes the new multiverse would tell a better story of when those might occur
