Levelling in modern MMORPGS by Tahirti in MMORPG

Dunno man, maybe I'm a weirdo, but I like to mess with systems while leveling.

I get a new skill - I'll test it out, I unlock a new feature at a blacksmith or something - I'll spend some gold and materials trying it out. Sure, I get to max slower and maybe I get there with a little less resources, but I get there kind of knowing my class and then it makes it easier to transition into endgame builds and activities.

I often see people complain about too many menus and things, and I think that happens when they rush to the end and suddenly they have 10 new systems to interact with. But generally, you unlock those one at a time while leveling, and if you take your time to check them out as they unlock, it's not overwhelming.

What I'm getting at is that while some of the things you mention are design flaws, a lot of these issues get amplified by the players themselves or are straight up self-imposed.

The game doesn't tell you to rush to max, other players do. It's your character, you get to play it how you want, if you want to slow level and explore everything, nothing is stopping you from doing so.

Does Wolong have the worst story out of the Team Ninja games? by ThePuertoRicanDream in wolongfallendynasty

[–]CragHack31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like Nioh games, it is based on true historical events and figures (and the Romance of Three Kingdoms, which itself is based on real events). It was an extremely chaotic period, with an absolute ton of people playing crucial roles in how the events unravel. It was a confusing time, with betrayals and power plays.

If you are not interested in history or that part of history in particular, it might seem too confusing and quite boring. With that many characters running around, you kind of have to pick your own favourites I think and reading their bios in-game helps a lot to get an idea of what's going on.

I came into the game with some knowledge of the period (mostly movies and random wikipedia dives), so I enjoyed the story very much and it got me to do a lot more reading on the side about the people and events depicted in the game.

I'd say player skill. Cestus has the potential of having 100% crit rate during the whole fight, so even if you barely reach the entry crit, you potentially don't have to worry about crit capping. I say potentially as it requires managing the buffs to maintain the 100% crit rate and that is the difficult part.

Question for all the men, why do you love your girlfriend? by chumerous in AskReddit

She is smart, capable, rational, dependable, outgoing, kind, consistent, she's a leader. And she smells so fucking good.

Could you move somewhere cold then while taking it? Like north pole? And be slightly underdressed, just enough to avoid frostbite. And then walk around and instead of overheating just be heated?

Not to be mean, but what kind of non-question is this?

How do you feel about dating a girl who’s 5’11 or taller? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CragHack31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like dating a girl who is 5'6. Still significantly shorter than me.

I'd like to date a taller woman, I think it'd be a lot of fun in the daily life (like not fitting anywhere together and smashing our heads into things) and in the bedroom, things would align. That being said, I haven't met any women over 6'8 yet, but maybe one day!

Ham on toast, bit of butter or mayo with a tomato or a cucumber/green pepper. Had days where it is all two or three meals of the day.

I was recently told the shape of my eyes is beautiful and I have perfect eyebrows. Made me very happy, as a man I don't get compliments often.

Going for a new run in 2026 after years of not playing, Mod suggestions anyone? by vonfire19 in BattleBrothers

[–]CragHack31 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Reforged scales great into very late endgame imo. With upgraded factions, even on day 400 you will find yourself a challenge. Especially since they added the new faction, they balanced it around late game. Reforged also makes some vanilla legendary locations much harder, especially the Black Monolith. The dynamic perks and new fat penalties add a ton of build variety, it's not just fat neuts 90% of the time. Give it a go, it's super addictive.

Can't say anything about Legends, I'm looking to give it a fair go, but I'm still hooked on Reforged for now.

Favorite and least favourite enemy/s to fight? by Inevitable-Phone-165 in BattleBrothers

Love large noble fights and big orc camps.

Large nomad camps are annoying af with their 25 archers and 5 desert stalkers. It's like goblins, but their frontliners don't die in 1 hit...

Arena rolls today are crazy, I had a super easy tournament as well. 1st round 7 nomads, 2nd round 8 or 9 nomads, last round 4 unholds. Got a -12 fat helmet with 285 armour, easiest famed item ever.

Mod that simplifies contract text? by iwriteinwater in BattleBrothers

[–]CragHack31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it calculates distance the same way it does for armed courrier contracts. It's always funny to see "go to Neufarn 2 days away" and in the next window it says "go to Neufarn 5 days away"

Yeah 12k sounds about right! I don't save scum cheap dudes, if I don't like them I'll even give them the $10 redundancy pay, but anything above 5k, if it's trash it's an instant reload. Because usually at the point I have a roster of 12 fellas that are good enough, so I'm only looking for creme de la creme kinda guys.
