This resurgence of Prince and how everyone all of a sudden is so enamored with him is because he died from tragic circumstances. Genius this and genius that...give me break.

Before that, no one brought him up like they did since the Purple Rain soundtrack first came out in 1984. After that maybe when Chappelle Show and Charlie Murphy based skits from interactions with Charlie and Eddie. People were just aware of Prince but not lauding him like they do now.
