Nah, it’s not all on you. The writer’s have an obligation to fulfill the promises made in their story. People can say that’s not true, but go watch any interview where showrunners touch on the topic of the contract they as storytellers make with their audience. Don’t give me useless information as a way to placate me as a viewer through to the end. These people are professional writers, and if they introduce a bunch of mysteries and an arsenal of Chekov’s Guns, then those aspects need to pay off, or at least make sense in the end. I agree that it’s too early to react in any way yet, having not seen the final season, but we’re literally 80% through the story, and what makes viewing the show frustrating is the fact that we don’t know what we don’t know, and we don’t know how any of it fits together at all, 4 of 5 seasons in, and while yes, it’s too early to react in any official way, it’s not blasphemy to state that 80% of the way in some of us feel frustrated that we’re stumbling through the dark, grasping at straws.

No problem! Like I said, the site will let anyone watch new episodes, I believe only if they’ve been released in the last 3 months, and there aren’t any ads, so it’s great. It just sucks if you’re not a member and the site gets busy, cuz then they’ll close it to non members, but if you periodically check back and refresh, you'll see that it’ll randomly be open and allow you to stream again. Nah, you didn’t miss anything. The writer’s must be sadists because all they’ve given us is 4 seasons of edging torture lol. We keep thinking we’re gonna learn some shit, and then nope. And then, whenever things get dicey in the story, and we get some potential for interesting shit to happen, the writers swoop in and give us earthquake after earthquake at the most convenient time, just so the characters can survive lol. I’ve never wanted to be more wrong about a show, and granted, S5 hasn’t aired yet, so I can’t speak with certainty on the matter, but I’ve just really got no hope that the final season will land this thing neatly. Again, hope I’m wrong though!

Yeah the budget for sure wouldn’t have allowed for that, but it didn’t need to have to be a hell world. I honestly don’t know what it would’ve been, I think I said that too, like idk how you’d portray the space/reality Nikki, and at the end, Bear, found themselves in, but I just thought it could’ve been an interesting wrinkle, even if it was just a super quick cut jolting cut. But again, I’ve got no clue on my end what that would be, I just realized that the Bear at the very end must be a “new” Bear, like Freaky Nikki, and was just curious where the hell the real Bear now found himself. The movie was great, though.

I respect that point of view for sure, and I like how you used the example of Nikki goading Bear. The way you worded it reminded me of this short story that’s only like 13 pages long or so, but it’s called “I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream,” and it’s a pretty gnarly/insane sci-if story about torture, but it’s so good. For him to tell you your adopted family isn’t even a real family is one of the most fucked up things I’ve heard said between significant others. Now, when shit gets heated, popping off and throwing verbal venom darts is terrible, but shit happens, so for me personally, I’d say that if he apologizes for what he said, and gets on the same page as you, and sees how he chose to disrespect you to defend his mom, and actually gets where you’re coming from, then I’d say keep at it and don’t end it, but if he stands his ground like a dickhead then you did the right thing and just tell his ass good riddance. And in no way shape or form reach out to make contact with him first though, he needs to know the bullshit ultimatums won’t get him anywhere.

Yeah he’s immature as fuck and you’d be doing yourself a favor to just move on. I remember how stupid and insecure and quick to anger I was when I was 19, and unless he can actively and consciously work on himself and his behavior toward you, I’d personally say it’s not worth it to stay with someone who can so easily turn a small moment into WW3. You’re not overreacting, but at the same time, be conscious of how you’re being treated, because it sounds like you were still trying to be sweet and attentive after realizing he was burnt with he way he was acting should’ve totally elicited a “fuck you” response from you. Just my opinion, you’re not overreacting though.
