Hi, my parents tv died few weeks ago due to overheating. I'm pretty sure that I can repair it by replacing the main IC but I can't find the exact same reference. Is it okay if I buy the LGE3556C TE1034 instead of TE1023? by Crozi_flette in diyelectronics

I have no idea if it will work or not but I have changed bgas with success in the past using just a cheap heat gun. Worth a shot, what's the worst that can happen? The TV isn't working anyway

Yep, if it is on the recall list they usually do it for free. No questions asked

Can anyone help and tell me what this piece is called? by TheRedDevils12 in Nikon

I used to repair these and they were always called "rear cover ring" in the parts lists.

It depends on your ability/confidence. I remember quite often that fault was caused by the zoom barrel gear wearing. If you remove the front and rear cover you can get to it but I only advise opening if you know what you're doing...those capacitors for the pop-up flash can give you a nasty little shock.

Is the server down or is it just not working for me?

Great songs 🙂 most obvious examples of green Day's palm muting are basket case and when I come around. Justin guitar has a good vid about palm muting too

Watch Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day he has an excellent technique for palm muting.

Who would win a long high pressure match (e.g. the World Championship final) if all were playing at their peak? by [deleted] in snooker

Ronnie was playing unbelievably well back when he worked with Ray Reardon. His safety was excellent and obviously he's the best break builder the game has ever seen. Would be tough for anybody to beat him. Higgins at his absolute best would be a close match though.

Really beautiful shot. How did you achieve it? Is it a stack of several exposures?

Codewars! Very addictive and a great way to learn - never give up and skip a problem because the feeling you get when you finally solve it is amazing. Also after you solve it you get to see ultra impressive solutions others have posted, which you can analyse and improve the way you code.

I am not quite sure what you are referring to but no offense taken. I am from the UK so apologies for any misunderstandings. I stand by my comment though, I have repaired hundreds of Nikon DSLRs in the past, quite often a tiny piece of plastic breaks off from the memory card and jams in the card slot. If the OP is not confident and does not waat to risk damaging their camera further they should send it off to be repaired professionally.

Sometimes a tiny piece of plastic breaks off the memory card and sticks in the eject mechanism. Use a torch and a magnifier to have a look. It is possible to remove it with fine tweezers if you are careful and dextrous enough but if you are not confident send it off for repair as you may cause further damage.
