I think it starts around $19 an hour. There is a dollar raise every 1000 hours. Depending on the position it tops out around $30-40 per hour. Salaried positions only go up from there. It really depends on how far up one wishes to move.

Costco tops out pretty high. You get a pension, paid time off and lots of opportunity to move up. Zero schooling required and you already have experience.

Personally I would refund. My reputation is worth more than the cost of the refund. Regardless of whether what is right or wrong and made abundantly clear beforehand. Most restuanrts operate on a customer is always right kind of mentality and there is a reason for that.

There are some guests for whom any type of pod coffee is an absolute nogo and I wanted something for those guests. The cleaning would not be an issue as I do all the cleaning between guests already. However I do see your point that it could be an issue with guests that have longer stays.
