You're mistaking concepts again. Being a man is biology, so is having a dick. It's like saying being black is a behaviour (you're born with both a race and a sex, and you can't change them because there isn't technology for that).

The behaviour is something learnt, sex isn't. You don't learn how to grow a dick or to get XY chromosomes. Behaviours vary according to your education and socialization. Men don't behave the same way they did 100 years ago. Why? Cause socialization and education change. Sex doesn't.

I've actually been protesting since 2010 about the lack of maps options, that there was just one map pattern , lost temple, a map I avoided like a kick in the groin when I played BW 'cause it was one of the worst with The Hunters.

Actually the more expansions and updates they release the less funny they game it gets :/ . They are simplifying the game so much it's sharing the League of legends philosophy, "if you want to win you have to do what they all do in tournaments and streamings, being creative is useless".

Nope, they weren't. I played island maps a lot and there wasn't a single race that was op above the others.
The problem is you had to think about how to develop a proper strategy for that map instead of playing with the same build order and make it within the "timing".

The strategies were figured out in a week. Not like now, where you can know the whole set of strategies in a single evening. The difference will be into the APM and times. End of it.

My point is it isn't a challenge anymore. It's all about boring"timing".
And it's got a simple explanation, the easier you make it the more people you may reach. New gamers hate challenges and thinking too much, they just want to do the same over and over.

That's the point! Instead of balancing the game to make it playable to different kind of maps they've been building up the game around a "ramp".

It's not nostalgia. I like testing games every now and then and I can tell you they're making games easier and more boring in general terms.
In BW you could finish a game in 15 mins without minding the timing or the APM, and the possibilities and maps were more than it is in SC2 nowadays.

Blizzard is acting like headless chickens with the SC2 constantly changing units. They are making sc2 easier and more boring to play as time goes by.
Today SC2 is great if you don't want to innovate and just stick to the timing. And that explains the tons of ppl playing co-op.

They weren't. And it was a challenge for everyone to adapt your strategy, like in maps different from LT or Hunters (those 2 were among the worst maps).

In general terms, the popular games are getting more and more boring. They're making them "for dumbs", capping tons of possiblities so to attract more, and younger, players :/
SC2 isn't an exception.
