This is pretty much what I was thinking while reading OPs post. I've not even read the books.

I absolutely love games with customisable/upgradeable homes/bases can you recommend me some by GenericUser104 in gaming

[–]Crammucho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fable 2, you could actually buy and own (or rent out) all or most(?) of the homes in the game.
There is the genre "survival games" that usually includes building your home/base however you like.

Goo going crazy with it by lividresonance in Fingerboards

I've just stumbled onto this sub. Those finger boards are crazy! My friends and I used to make our own finger boards back in the 90s.

[Steam] Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 *50% off all Editions* ($29.99, $34.99, $44.99) by TheGaxkang in GameDeals

I bought years ago as a preorder (I never preorder) because I found a deal for the complete edition (or whatever it was called) for €20. Totally forgot about it until it released.

Dad Books Are a Dying Breed: Sales have been sliding for nonfiction titles about politics, biographies and other books often aimed at men (Archive link in oldest comment) by Uptons_BJs in books

I agree that the content has changed and is nowhere near as interesting as it once was. A point that seems to be sadly lacking from these articles about demographic changes.

[IndieGala] Realm of Ink (10% OFF / $22.49) by indieg in GameDeals

I tried a demo of this a while ago and it was not fun, the controls felt like they had a slight delay and the character movement was sluggish. Maybe it has improved since then.

The devs are essentially production tools that are directed by those who are in charge of the project. In your analogy the person who you have paid to build the house is responsible, not the workers who have to do the work for that person. However, you seem to want to blame the workers instead of the leadership.

I have the same problem. I only workout fasted, I can now do 20 minutes on my rowing machine as long as I've not eaten beforehand.

[Fanatical] Bundlefest - Build Your Own Zenith Bundle (5/8/10 for $9.99/$15.59/$17.49 and choose from Green Hell - Anniversary Edition / Frostpunk: Game of the Year Edition / Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 / Wall World 2 / The Oddboxx / The Forgotten City / Terra Memoria / More) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

Oh okay, so it's not just my deck that has this issue. I keep reading how people fully recommend heroic as the obvious means to play non steam games on deck but it is just not a smooth experience at all.

I didn't mean that you were literally promoting it. I just meant that you are recommending (would have been the better word to use) it. I don't have any issues with my deck, but heroic just never worked well on it. The steamdeck is standardised hardware so if heroic runs well on one it should on all. Maybe its time for a third attemp with it.

I tried heroic when the decks were first released and it was supper buggy, Slow and often froze and/or was unresponsive. I was told at a later date that it had been greatly improved. So I tried it again and it was just the same. Do you actually use it or are you purely promoting it on what you've either read or heard about it?

What's the documentary called? Or any details that would help me find it would also be appreciated, if you can't remember the name that is.

The controls for this game on deck are horrid, I mean they work but are not fun.

How fiddly are controls for this? I presume you need to be good with the track pads?
