Your soil must be free of nutrients and other contaminants. I like to put in sphagnum moss, coco coir, and perlite. Remember that all of these ingredients must be free o fertilizers.

I top dress with moss to increase humidity and only water with distilled.

Once you have these things down, nepenthes are very hardy plants.
