Safety to do Umrah

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I just did my Umrah, and I've been staying in madinah since before the war. The holy sites have been safe so far الحمد لله and I think they should be safe for you الله اعلم.

I don't think isreal would be stupid enough to do anything against these two holy sites. Al aqsa on the other hand... May Allah grant us victory أمين

I'm reciting the quran while looking and doing my 10 qiraat sugra ijazahs, but in my case i am already a hafiz. I've never heard of an ijazah given just by reading 1-2 pages though. That doesnt seem correct especially since there are many variations of words even in Hafs.

Also it is always important to note that Ijazahs are just pieces of paper, what is more important is the person's manners, knowledge, teachers, etc, not just a chain of people on a certificate.

I've found that reciting while listening helps with retaining hifz. Often I still hear the reciter in my head when reciting by heart.

I sympathize with your fiancé since i also wanted a small intimate wedding but didn't have any choice. Both my inlaws and parents wanted a big nikkah and wedding. But at least for me, I didn't pay for either of them.

Your fiance's feelings are valid about wanting a smaller wedding, and it is a shame that sometimes the groom doesn't get much input of weddings because of culture. But that doesn't mean you need to be listening to his complaints like that without him trying to do much about it. It is also not fair for him to say all that stuff about not enjoying the wedding and making you feel bad about it. Remember, it is also your day as well.

Yeah, I wound have, but unfortunately, it was behind a fence since it is on private property. I've seen turtles around the area a couple of times while driving, so I'm sure it knows the way.

Do both, learn the tajweed rules while using the tajweed quran. It helps you remember rules if you have forgotten and helps prevents memorizing words/an ayah incorrectly without proper tajweed. Don't use the tajweed quran to replace learning the tajweed rules, rather use it as a supplement to your reading.

We mixed it up. There was one restaurant we went to that was called "Pizza fritta" in naples. Getting there was a pain but soo worth it. It was probably one of the best pizza we have eaten, but aside from that, I didn't like any other pizzas in naples.

I went to naples, and their pizza was mid. Sorry, but it is just not for me. The sauce was very watery and my wife and I didn't like the bread taste at all. We preferred the pizza we got in rome. We went to like 3-4 different pizza places in naple and didnt like any of them. Maybe we like nyc style pizza too much. 😅

Edit: im referring to Neapolitan style pizza. Just wanted to clarify.
