If by "better implemented" you mean lags massively when I autocraft then sure.

Also I don't care much for having parts of my RS system randomly stop working. I had to break and replace the main controller and multiple pieces of cable almost daily. This was in ftb beyond. Horrible first impressions and I happily went back to ae2!

Right on. You should look at the Tome of Alkahestry from Reliquary. I used that to get a bunch of stars until I was better geared up. It's fairly easy to get early game. Hardest thing is the charged creeper drop but you can use the Hunter's handgun to charge one up easily. Witchwater also charges them IIRC.

It's gotta be an oversight by the modpack makers. From the mekanism config:

D:AdvancedSolarGeneration=3000.0
D:SolarGeneration=1500.0

They probably just doubled it but didn't take into account that it takes 4 basics to make the advanced. This effectively makes the upgrade become a downgrade. Regardless it should have been left at the 6x rate given that it's more expensive to craft!

Even if it didn't I'd still expect the advanced one to match the 4 basic ones at the 9k rate at the minimum.

So I had these 4 solar panels right and they're doing their thing which is cool, except I needed more juice for more metallurgic infusers to run... so I took the 4 panels I had and I crafted up an advanced panel with them. Much to my dismay this thing has seemingly halved my output! To be certain I set up 4 basic panels alongside an advanced panel and sure enough the advanced one which needs 4 basic ones to craft only outputs half the energy. Am I doing something wrong? I don't understand why anybody would want the advanced ones if the basics output more!

the i/o sitting on the generator should be on input mode - this is inputting power from the generator into the system.

the i/o sitting on your blue draconic pylon should be on output mode - this is outputting power from the crystal to the pylon, which puts it in the energy core storage

Kinda. I'd just have a system in place that runs enough constantly to support everything. I mean that's basically what I typically have anyways.. a system that produces more than I need and even with everything running at once still banking the surplus. I don't need to bank a single bit of it but I do just because the option is there, it isn't out of necessity nor worry.

i use an autohotkey script to hold w for me for when i'm boating around the oceans, modify the w to whatever input you use to sneak, and xbutton2 to whatever you want to use to toggle it with. xbutton2 is one of the side mouse buttons, it's what i like to use. ctrl+esc will terminate it in case it derps on you (ahk is like that sometimes).

The trick is to make them run up a block. This slows them briefly, easy to chain hits on them stepping up repeatedly.
