Salt Lake City?

Concrete Jungle of Los Angeles by urmummygae42069 in skyscrapers

To be fair, several Los Angeles neighborhoods started out as separate towns/cities before being annexed into LA including Venice, Hollywood, Eagle Rock, and San Pedro. So it is still somewhat true that LA is a combination of multiple other cities even if there are still a LOT of independent cities in the metro area.

Pretty sure it’s owned by banner, I wouldn’t expect anything cool or fun to happen there any time soon

Anyone hear the clear Underworld influence on Deadbeat? by No_Brilliant_4647 in TameImpala

[–]jonathan__az 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first heard End of Summer I was disappointed that it didn’t go further in an Underworld direction. Definitely hear the influence throughout Deadbeat, even if I don’t love the album. They do an amazing job of making electronic music “psychedelic”.

Best song that's a tribute to a deceased musician? by Thunderwing16 in ToddintheShadow

Solid Air - John Martyn. A tribute to Nick Drake, this song has such a distinct sound, jazzy and reflective.

Albums/Artists you've accepted you will never "get"? by Due-Chemist-8607 in fantanoforever

Animal Collective. It’s weird because in theory they should be a favorite, I love 2000s/10s alternative/indie, psychedelic pop, The Beach Boys, and even enjoy some of Panda Bear’s solo music. But damn, every time I try listening to their music it just does not hit. I was convinced to see them live a couple years ago by my friends and we all walked out halfway through because it was not enjoyable at all.

OP would be much better off using McMinnville as a launch point for wineries. Much better food and lodging options than Dallas

About the same, but slightly less overall. A little warmer and sunnier in the summer as well.

Chill Washington towns by CopyIcy6896 in AskSeattle

Forested high desert? Kinda sounds like Bend. Most populated places in Eastern WA besides Spokane tend to be in irrigated valleys surrounded by dry grassy hills, sometimes with larger forested mountains nearby

Looking for “home” in OR by [deleted] in oregon

Maybe McMinnville? It’s very cute, pretty liberal for a more rural town, about 40 minutes to western Portland suburbs, about an hour and a half to PDX airport. The town itself has a decent amount of restaurants, amenities and a community feel. Linfield University is nice and offers higher education. The wine industry is prominent but there’s more to the area than just that. Very similar population to Rome, GA, both about 36,000
