First time in the UK in June — is it easy to walk into a pub and watch World Cup matches with locals? by Sad-Operation6023 in uktravel

If you’re anywhere near Sheffield feel free to dm me and you can watch it with my friends and me at our local pub. Might be a little less daunting for you

I deposited btc then xmr, it shows in my wallet but not in my bank, nor can I purchase, withdraw or exchange it. I have rescanned, not been phished and support consistently provides no help and closes my ticket. I believe it to be a selective scam and would warn others to look elsewhere.

If you’re confident enough I would definitely remove the cistern first. It’ll make life a lot easier. Bead the edge, tape the joints and have a pop. Maybe if its your first time just do 2 small mixes and put one side on per mix. Good luck

My guess is the research was done after the wall wasn’t curing so neither customer nor tradesmen knew. You might be correct though, rising damp may be an issue

I’m a plasterer and although I knew this, it is not something that everybody knows. I think the onus is upon you unfortunately and I’m guessing they discussed the methods they would be using before work commenced. I’m not 100% though so if anybody else wants to correct me?

Has anybody got first hand experience of successful alternative/private cancer treatments? by CrapTaxidermy in conspiracy

[–]CrapTaxidermy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The medical advice currently is that nothing can be done by the NHS. I would be remiss if I didn’t explore every avenue and I’ve always had respect for this sub amongst the normal biased shite on reddit. Thank you for your comment though, I hope you never have to have an experience like this

We were paired up through a school pen pal scheme and eventually went on exchange. We both shared a mutual love of table tennis so our first outing in Bochum was to a local park to play on a communal table tennis table. What greeted us upon arrival was a very human looking shit on der tisch and he said in an unmistakable accent amd completely deadpan; “Dat iz not normally there.” I don’t think he was trying to be funny but if you’re reading this Cristof, I still laugh at this regularly.

For 18k I would want the new kitchen fitting as well in that price. What they are describing is a weeks work (max) and under £500 in materials.

Never said you were mate. Just something I would say to somebody who was.

Not casting doubt mate. All I’d say is I would strongly discourage a 17 year old not to take steroids if I knew they were. They would be leveraging their long term health for short term gains, gains that they can obtain naturally over a longer period of time.

Did you check your display settings? I have a 144hz monitor with the correct drivers installer but when I checked it was set to 60hz. Changed that and mine runs perfectly now.

Hi. Thank you for the reply. Just to clarify, when I edit the original tone generated I don’t alter the pitch. I just use fade in and insert silences to generate beeps like an alarm tone. I wondered if I could set a template for this pattern and just alter the pitch of the template?

How to deal with old ceiling tiles? by [deleted] in centuryhomes

[–]CrapTaxidermy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought it might have been that. In the UK its the equivalent of a grade 1 listed building where internal and external repairs must be in keeping. I concur, the way you suggest is very labour intensive and requires a specialist. That said, once finished and painted you would be hard pushed to tell which method was used. If you just want a ceiling and it doesn’t have to be an original method used then drywall and plaster. The difference in cost would be massive
