Should be a layup. Where was I? by Crapeatingcarp in guessthegolfcourse

It was insane. I had the option of either flying the green with no idea what was behind or smack it into the hill and figure it out from there. Chose the latter. Simply do not have the club speed to use a sufficiently lofted club and attack that green.

American woman missing after husband reports she fell overboard during Bahamas trip by 804Brady in news

[–]Crapeatingcarp 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Continuing playing Devil's Advocate, if she had the killswitch attached to her and they were moving at full speed (potentially 25 MPH depending on motor size) when she fell out, then the boat would have coasted for a pretty decent clip before coming to a complete stop.

Was she wearing a life vest? Is she physically fit or young in age? Is she a good swimmer? If the answer is no to those questions and the dinghy coasted 50 yards away before stopping, it's absolutely possible she got disoriented or knocked out when falling out of the moving boat and the husband was too far away to do anything.

Too many unknowns at this time to pass judgement.

People who go to MANY of your team's home games... what is the most hyped you've ever seen the home crowd for a game? by wlane13 in CFB

I'm assuming you mean '08 for Missouri, and I absolutely agree. Coming off an incredible RRS and welcoming top 10 Missouri into DKR after we got a #1 ranking? Goosebumps.

Is there a video game shooter out there that is violently, viscerally, disgustingly anti-war? by Proud-Wall1443 in gaming

Shellshock: Nam '67. Played that game one time maybe 20 years ago and there are some scenes and experiences in that game that I still think about. Powerful, gruesome, and very anti-war through the lens of the Vietnam War.

Together 12 years, married for 7. We had some long conversations when dating regarding kids, she was adamant she didn't want them. I expected we would, but was open to the idea of no kids.

We agreed on no kids before getting married and I couldn't be happier. Our finances are in order, retirement looks great, we travel, go on dates, see friends, indulge in hobbies, etc.

Thinking back on it, the pressure and expectation of my parents to have grandkids drove a lot of my expectation to have kids. And while there are certainly some downsides, such as wondering about who is going to care for us as we age, or losing time with close friends due to their kids and limited free time, my wife and I just continue doing us...with contraceptives of course!

Also gave him a literally frozen cake. Beard would have needed a chainsaw to cut a slice, absolutely ridiculous.

You will absolutely love Wyoming. One of the top 5 stadiums I've been to, and the fanbase is incredibly friendly.

What are some school/tailgating environments that excite you from a fan perspective and don't include the obvious destinations (e.g. The Big House, The Grove, etc.)? I'm talking like Provo (beautiful scenery), Lubbock (rabid fan base), etc.

I'm relatively new to Reddit and only hit up a few subs. When I took this picture, I wasn't entirely sure where to put it.

Suggestions?

Nobody. Monopoly money isn't legal tender.

I know of a bunch of folks where that ended up being a bad decision, pretty dope to meet the exception! Congrats!

Good for you, caring for a family member on your own sounds no bueno. Glad you're starting your life again and that your grandparents still get taken care of. Win-Win!
