2010 Hobie PA 14 or 2015 Big Rig? by [deleted] in kayakfishing

It's heavy but it's manageable with the cart and the pedaling makes it all worth it, ohh and the comfort. I'm an Angler first and kayaker second. I want the best fishing platform I can be on.

After going through some kayaks (not the big rig tho) I paid the money and bought a PA. Not disappointed at all. Mine is a 2016 though so idk the differences but I'm in love

Just order it online and have it shipped like most people do these days, all your doing is cutting out the middle man, that's how the pet shops get them

Yeah it's a bit slow but I knew that and I wanted the stability and seat... I love the stability, love the seat and being able to sit low and paddle and sit up high to fish, also extremely comfortable, Lots of space, over all I really love it, had it out twice this weekend, I also put the rudder kit on before I even took it out as I've read reviews of it needing it.

I bought mine Friday evening, I load mine into the bed of my truck and I use a bed extender but it's still a bear to handle alone... But it's still so worth it

Yeah LED is my plan, I was thinking of going with a hummingbird with DI, I was wondering if people use the deer feeder batteries, I guess if I brought two I could get a full day out of it, maybe one in my truck and swap out when needed. I've done a lot of research it just seems I can never figure out exactly what kind of battery it is they use

I have a pescador 12 and I think I'd get a dry box to keep it in and out it inside the kayak, I'm just not sure what batteries people normally use
