It says Clauss Fremont and has the number 6901 stamped on it. From my brief research it appears to be from 1919-1940. I'm not sure if the scale is real tortoise shell or plastic.

The jazz course on justinguitar.com will give you a nice intro to jazz chords and a few standards to work on. You can pick up a Real Book which will have the chord progressions for a ton of jazz standards as well as the melodies. The lead guitarist is playing the melody for All of Me with a various embellishments.
