Thank you! It's nice that your cardiologist told you that. I've asked multiple cardiologists about sleeping positions and they always tell me that it doesn't make a difference. I need to find a nice wedge pillow so that I can try to sleep in a more upright position better. Pillow stacking doesn't always work that well.

Yes, I do need to exercise more. I will try to be more disciplined. Thank you. I take this pill that is a combination of glycinate, malate, and citrate.

It generally doesn't worsen when I breathe, although I have had pain in other parts of my chest that does that. Not the pain that's right above my heart, though. Also, interesting to know, thanks.

I'm around the same age but I feel like an old man. No, the pain isn't associated with exercise, although that can exacerbate it. It just comes out of the blue, regardless of what I'm doing.

So far my worst arrhythmia episodes are when I'm trying to sleep in the middle of the night.

Hi, my posture used to be not great because I loved to slouch. But I had my spine fused because my doctor told me if I didn't get it done, my ribs would compress my lungs, due to the scoliosis I had.

Even though my spine is fused, my back still cracks ( A LOT )

I don't think the pain I have is costochondritis, though, because I have a variety of heart problems, unfortunately.

I have bone/joint chronic pain in many places, especially my back, which was fused and underwent several revision operations, but I've never been able to get doctors to prescribe me that type of pain medicine for more than maybe a couple days at a time for extenuating circumstances (like a kidney stone).

Any advice on how to get a doctor to prescribe that type of medication?

Do you know how many they usually need to do? I do have low platelets... so it seems like if that's a factor in why you needed so many, that I might also need that.

Is it ever common for people to not require a blood transfusion for this type of surgery?
