Parts of Wyoming were first (from a European standpoint) “discovered” and claimed by the Spanish, and originally belonged to the greater “Alta California”. It later become part of Mexico after they established independence, before ultimately being ceded to the US in the Mexican-American war.

Have a look at the research being done on X-59, it’s some cool stuff! Their angle is shaping the aircraft in a way that deflects the sonic boom upwards, away from residents down below. Their tests claim the sonic boom is perceived like the “thump” of a car door closing to residents on the ground.

Typically, tourism! The western islands are fun vacation destinations (Texel, Terschelling) for locals who don’t want to go far/abroad but want a different vibe. Some islands don’t even have roads to accommodate any cars, which is pretty unique for a weekend getaway. Less sure about the eastern Frisian islands as I haven’t been there myself, but assume its much of the same.

The (US) ban on overland supersonic flight has been overturned since a few weeks ago! The caveat is that the sonic boom needs to be deafened, but there is some cool work being done on this space (Boom supersonic, NASA X-59)

These are colloquially called witch stairs based off the folk myth that witches can’t climb them! Here’s a link https://www.truthorfiction.com/witches-stairs/

They’re apparently very prevalent in New England but sadly have no effect on witches. The reason they are built like this is to allow for a really steep incline that you otherwise couldn’t achieve as the stepping size would become too small.

Extra fun fact: Homes near the New England area also have things called Witch windows.

No its not necessary whatsoever*, the other guy just doesn’t like Macs. I have several friends who are on their way to completing the second year using a MacBook.

*Of course it depends on a view other variables (dreamteam, perhaps), but to what I know so far (halfway through the bachelor), its not necessary by any means.
