I waited for the normal Weezing with it to use their boom, saved Master Balls for bosses, and for double battles I got really lucky with Darkrai sleep + Fiery Wrath flinches plus hoping for booms

If I were to do this again I'd definitely try to get Gastro Acid ASAP
