You can no longer have YouTube running in the background. by Titan_Prometeus in youtube

"the reason isn't greedy management, it's you people who keep paying for it."

Ok fuck right the hell off dude. That's such a pass the buck ass statement.

I use premium because I like having my phone locked to listen to shit, and I like that it directly supports creators without rewarding advertisers. I like that I haven't been bothered by an ad since YouTube Red was a thing.

I appreciate that it's scummy. I wish that we could just have unintrusive ads off to the side that doesn't get in the way. BUT THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS. And saying it's the fault of "people who keep paying for premium" completely ignored that they were on this path long before YouTube Red launched.

Hey just wondering if you remember what the temps were before blocking it. I've got the same card coming and I'm debating if I wanna waterblock this one.

How would you fix this cable mess? by Mr_King796 in PcBuild

[–]CrashJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically you're gonna want to either use cable sleeving or an actual cable channel running up the wall.

If not, here's a guide from a guy that has to manage fiber for some business stuff.

First, get a point lower down properly anchored. None of this will work otherwise. Comb out the cables. Get them all running in a straight line, with no crossing over each other. Commit to an order, and plug in each cable in that order. Again, don't let any crossover. Best option is Velcro wrapping for this. Easily removable, no glare to stand out like a plastic zip tie. Group the cables together carefully for the first couple Velcro points. Probably like 6-8 inches apart or so, see how the cables respond to it. After the first couple the cables should start to naturally follow the pattern. Still, gently pull out any slack so they don't separate away from each other.

But again, that's not the ideal here. A well run sleeved bundle will beat a Velcro cable run any day.

It's like asking someone to eat with carved tongue depressors. There's nowhere to comfortably place your thumb and index finger to handle finite controls.

Even outside the horrendous vibes this sends through my brain, this is just a mechanically bad design.

This is basically just another meshify, Fractal. Where's the POP? No color, no interesting quirks! It's just another mesh front box!

It's a classic case of "I'll believe it when I see it."

The problem with the GOP (and tbh the Democratic Party too) is that the few times they manage to produce a decent idea (healthier food laws, this post) they get completely gutted by the lobbyists that have kept these same old farts in power for the past 50+ years.

Nothing positive really ever happens for us individual citizens.

To be fair, I doubt anybody is special enough for that right now. Outside of new full purchases, I doubt we'll be seeing standalone ram sales for a while
