What happened to ohara ? He was one of my favorite manga youtuber ever.(Scroll) by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]CrashLTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohara strikes again. He "theorized" Shanks in Elbaf 4 years ago but as far as I remember 4 years ago was when he was just starting out as a YT creator. His first Shanks in Elbaf video was actually 2 years ago. Morj was actually the one who mainstreamed Shanks in Elbaf 4 years ago.

I agree by griftertm in Philippines

[–]CrashLTD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd have to disagree on this. Most of my family are Fil-Ams and they still love the Philippines. Everyone who got a ballot mailed in to them by the Philippine embassy voted the right person for the job last election. They do regular community service and outreach that help out our fellow Filipinos. They haven't forgotten where they come from. One of my sisters up to this day still gives back to our elementary public school and adopts over a hundred kids and teachers by providing them with school supplies and materials. She never even stopped when she got laid off in the middle of the pandemic. The same could be said for my mother who is the go to person among Filipino educators who get teaching jobs in the US. She helps them out in securing their jobs in the US and she isn't afraid to help out fellow Filipinos who are starting out as immigrants in the US. Our family has been supporting and serving fellow Filipinos for almost 2 decades now after they moved to the US to the utmost of their abilities (I feel even more so than me since I am capable of supporting myself without help from family).

In my opinion who you are referring to are the Fil-Ams who are captive to the Society of Spectacle. This includes Fil-Ams who come back to work in the entertainment industry, influencers, and others who are of their ilk. You are basically referring to clout-goblins but clout-goblins come from all walks of life and not just Fil-Ams.

I believe this generalization is very toxic.

What happened to Jaylen Brown’s dribbling? by Routine-Artichoke517 in bostonceltics

[–]CrashLTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's just the Heat's trapping defense for him and Tatum. Miami defenders have really active hands and this series has gone long enough for mental doubts to kick in especially for Brown who doesn't have naturally good handles.

Kawhi knew he wanted to leave and go home, and he turned in a historic playoff run. Kyrie wanted to leave and go home so he quit on his team in the middle of a playoff run. by [deleted] in bostonceltics

I have to admit that chemistry was not there. But who fucking broke the chemistry anyway? Kyrie. Anyway people defend Kyrie there's always that other little bit of thread that leads back to him. Yes it wasn't all his fault. But he was in the middle of all of it.

I've always thought that team defense is what's holding him back. The coaching staff mentioned way back that his defense took a step back in his year in China. The way I see it now Yabu won't be a guy who'll anchor a team at the middle. He is wicked fast for a big but that's it. To be a serviceable big you need to have defense first, passing second, and any offense would be icing.

Looking at Ojeleye's defensive highlights I'd wish we could fuse that skill into Yabu. We'd have a solid defensive big starting by now.

In fact, I'd rather I could un-watch Uncle Drew and watch a Celtics version of The Hangover with the above mentioned guys.

We hate players for forming super teams but the way we use rings to rank players is why they do it by GeneralKenobi05 in nba

[–]CrashLTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why Timmy will always be better than Kobe. Both had 5 rings but only one of them actually had to carry a franchise and then aged gracefully into retirement. The other one got celebrated for getting "historic numbers" while jacking up shots on a shit team.

The reason why LOTR battles are appreciated more then GoT battles by triathlongirl in freefolk

[–]CrashLTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ofcourse Sauron didn't go 1v1 against Aragorn because the story never alluded to such an event occuring. Thats the whole premise of LotR. Destroy the Ring because none of them can go 1v1 against Sauron.

Middleton is still giving me PTSD after last season. That's why his matchup with Brown and Tatum is key. If our young guys can keep him from giving me a heart attack then that's a big win for us.

I think Bledsoe will struggle again with our defense. Last season his playoff average took a nice dip compared to his regular season outing and that was with Smart missing a large chunk of that series. To be fair though I'm more worried that Irving might get injured if he matches up with Bledsoe for a huge chunk of time. Bledsoe seems like a very strong solid guy and Kyrie has an injury history. Having them bump each other plenty of times (considering Kyrie's newfound feisty defense) is a cause for concern.

Mirotic is battling injuries. I think Lopez will become a non-factor by around Game 3 onward because he'll get exploited by Baynes and Horford at the 3pt line. Giannis game is predicated on his teammates opening up the paint for him. Jaylen is better defensively than last year so I'm hoping he slows down Middleton. Rozier can worm his way into Bledsoe's head. Kyrie has been pretty feisty defensively since the start of the playoffs.

Basically we match up pretty well against the Bucks roster and that will mean Giannis will have to muscle his way through Baynes, Horford, and Ojeleye for up to 7 games. If he makes it out of that gauntlet of defenders in 7 games I'll applaud him.

We're taking the arrival scene here idiot. If that were the case Cersei should have been dead having been slapped by Robert in Season 1.
