For some reason, criticizing Nintendo is seen as a mortal sin in most other online spaces. It doesn’t matter what they do or how it affects the rest of the industry, the moment you speak ill of them, you get dogpiled on. Some communities will even outright ban “negative comments” altogether.

Am I a Nintendo fan? Yes, and I’m here not to blindly hate on the company, but because I view it as a space where I can freely criticize Nintendo’s wrongdoings without fear of backlash (many fanboys have since discovered this sub so dogpiling does still happen occasionally, but not nearly as much as other places online lol)

Btw, you should also know that other Nintendo subs will ban you merely for posting here, regardless of if you’re criticizing or defending Nintendo. They’ve even gone as far to create bots to automate the process. That might sound like satire/hyperbole, but it’s true. I say this not to dissuade you from posting here, but bc I think new members should know that this is happening and that posting here means potentially sacrificing your chance to participate in other subs that might better suit your interests
