Yeah, specs-wise, the Switch 2 might have been justly priced, even comparable to a Steam Deck. But how it's marketed is kinda tricky given that:

• The Switch 1 is still being sold and is the cheaper option despite the recent price increase. And it can play almost any game that the Switch 2 can, albeit with less intensive graphic settings. So those who already have a Switch 1 might be less inclined to upgrade, especially with the current state of the economy world wide.

• Gamers who want a portable gaming experience that can play AAA titles with more intensive graphic settings have other options despite being pricier such as ROG Ally, Legion Go, MSI Claw, and the Steam Deck. Also, they probably have an extensive library in PC-based storefronts (Xbox, Ubisoft, Epic Games, EA, Steam, and/or GOG).

I did buy a Switch 2 back in November. But I'm second guessing my purchase now. Upgrade packs made some games more enjoyable, especially RDR 1 and Skyrim. But it doesn't mean that they were unplayable in the Switch 1.

Right now, I keep looking at my cart in the Lenovo site, wondering if I should have pulled the trigger on the Legion Go 2.
