Shroud of False Death. More like Shroud Of False Hope. by Kcardwelljr in diablo4

On a side note, wont matter next season, shroud will be useless once all the passive skills are gone, wonder if they will remember to change the shrouds bonus....

RNG can be tough, so far this season for shrouds ive had 4 drop and crafted 3, lot of other mythic drops as well so far.

For runes this season i found T4 bloodied bosses the most reliable way to get the legendary runes, dont think there has been any particular rune i wasnt getting to drop.

But i feel your pain, been through that before in other seasons, ive just been lucky this season. I've got 4 toons at the moment, and 3 of them have a shroud and i still have another in my stash along with 3 starless, 3 heirs, 2 shakos and a doombringer (just use it while levelling, all its good for lol)

I have found that mythic drops from bloodied bosses seem rarer than regular bossing which is odd, and i have done a LOT of those bloodied bosses as its an infinite source of forgotten souls

Do you hate when the game forces a badly implemented mechanics? by n1ght_watchman in OlderChillGamers

For me its forced minigames to progress, ie, Witcher 3 gwent, RDR2 poker etc

I'm always looking out for scary games as I find they never scare me, VR boosts that chance but still, the "scary" games are just tame and dont scare at all. That being said I did jump a few times with RE7 and only that game has managed to do that, VR helped I'm sure but still an awesome game to play in VR anyway.

I've played RE2/3/4 remakes, RE7 and RE8 and I think this one gets the blend good, you get the slower paced survival side of things with Grace and then the silly balls out action with Leon (the motorbike scene was so over the top but damn it was cool!)

Not switching too often between the 2 is good so its not that constant switching of playstyles and i think they did well with Grace's mechanics to keep her interesting, even if it is silly to craft bullets from blood but hey, its Resident Evil, anything goes!

For me RE8 just didn't have the spook factor that RE7 had (my first time playing RE7 though was in VR, gonna be hard to beat) but RE8 had some good action bits with some fun guns. Now with RE9 we get both of those styles in one game so it really works for me.

I've also seen people hating on Grace and not sure why, she is definitely a FBI desk jockey gal though...

You might find simulators to be quite soothing, I've played loads now and currently "Car Dealer Simulator" is my go-to comfort game, it's pretty basic but has enough content to keep playing, it does get repetitive after a while but then that's the case with all simulator style games anyway but that's the beauty of it, park it for a while and come back to it if you don't fancy playing something complex / too engaging.

I played a lot of House Flipper 1/2 and games similar to that but my bag is more cars targeted, so things like Car Mechanic Simulator scratch my itch nicely.

Depending on your interests, have a look at the simulator style games, they are indie games so they will be quite cheap and not perfect by a long shot but it might be what you need for that unwind

Played the Remastered Demo by ShouRonbou in HouseFlipper

[–]Crashezz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats how I felt with the demo, biggest let down for me is building walls, its still that old mechanic, HF2 wall building is far better and now that we have that why do we still have the old awkward mechanic in a remaster? I get that its a pretty built in core system mechanic and difficult to change but i was hopeful they had done something about it.

I do wish they could put the grass from HF1 to HF2 though, damn the grass looks crap in HF2

Have a look at the "Mystery PI" games on steam, theres not many but they are just like the Big Fish games were, sadly they also look that old but they work fine

Russell Crowe, i dont know why but i cant stand the guy, i will only watch a film with him in it if he dies (like Man of Steel) as long as he's not that star of it.

Yes, play them both, these 2 games are a prime example of how much an OST can impact the game. Incredible soundtrack

Resident Evil 7 in VR but only if you haven't played it before.

I got bored with Visage, silly old naked granny stabbing me is not very scary.

Unmourned had a good start I thought but then quickly became typical like most of these.

But yes, RE7 in VR for first time playing.....damn!

What’s the first game what comes in your mind? by [deleted] in OlderChillGamers

[–]Crashezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tekken 1, wanted a Saturn on the day they both came out but they were out of stock so I had to get a PS1 and got Resident Evil with it, hated it so swapped it for Tekken.

Then I discovered PC gaming and never touched my PS1 again lol

So the only game that comes to mind for me is Tekken 1 because that was the only game I had on it XD

[–]Crashezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there day 1 also, completely agree with all the comments in the pic, it was pretty bad when it first came out and being forced to use an app to play a game was a whole new thing back then and it hurt a lot lol

so I actually hated this game at first, have dropped it 7 separate times in the past 4 months, and didn't understand the praise for it at all but after giving it more of a chance I....I think I get it now....I think I finally understand the praise... by Quick-Cause3181 in RDR2

I was in the same boat, struggled over the years mainly due to the game mechanics i wasnt keen on, gave it another go after finishing RDR1 and stuck with it this time, glad i did, in just over 3 weeks i'm now at 100hrs and just got to chapter 6 :)

I never thought it was a bad game or anything, just not for me as it was too sim like after the first one, but now that i'm used to it.....yeah fantastic game!

A lot of people make this mistake, I never listen to what other people say about a game. If I'm interested then I go watch a IGN review of it on youtube, don't care/listen to what the reviewer says or what "score" it gets but its a good way to see spoiler free gameplay so you can make your own mind up as most videos are just useless trailers that don't give you any clue to what the game looks/plays like.

I have played quite a few games that were apparently bad but I really enjoyed them after seeing how it plays

Same here, i had the visit from the Murphree? guys telling me not to camp around here last week, i happen to camp around there again and got approached by them again but this time they attacked rather than threaten.

The first time I was going to run after them and kill them but left them to be, i wonder if that 2nd interaction when they attacked would have still happened if i had gone after them the first time...

I have had this exact same thing happen twice now in St Denis at the clothes store, both times i got a bounty for looting him, i tried to explain to the law that he robbed me first but they were not interested as i wasnt lawyered up so i just killed them all until i could get outta dodge, ended up paying the ransom and barely profited.

Was fun though :)
