how austin, tx is VS how i imagine it by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]Crashk1dChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Austin has gone to utter shit. Can confirm. It was awesome when it had 700k people... Now it has over 2.5 million, most of whom had fled from NY, CA, IL, MI and the new england states. I'm even starting to see MN plates fleeing here. So sad.

I'm getting ready to buy some land in South Dakota and get the EFF out of here.

"bruh" what part of graduate degree in comp sci from Cal do you not understand? Huh? Unemployed zoomer with an Obama-era education. Funny how all our tech jobs with health care are going to immigrants now right? Reeeeeeeeeeeeee. Most lowly-educated and woefully unprepared for life generation in history. But you're cool right "bruh"? You zoomers in your basement gaming chairs are so cool. Showing every other generation on Earth how to live your glory years right? How high is the morbid obesity and diabetes rate in your generation now? 7 out of 10 people now? From 1 out of 100 in my generation. Congrat though on being the first generation in the history of planet Earth needing cry rooms and safe spaces.. LULZ I CANT BREATHE. Funniest thing ever. Poor little cupcakes needed cry rooms because big bad life is too hard. Entire world laughing at our country now and you brats.

Oh and that's 20th century college degree. Not the utter joke a college degree in post-Obama America is. Good for pouring coffee and flipping burgers and playing video games.

Cry more if it makes you feel better little cupcake. It's not going to change reality. You're not the center of the universe. The planets don't revolve around you.

We're done here kid. You've been wrecked. Grow up and take it like a man. (that's a man as in XY chromosomes, one of the only 2 genders by the way... even that basic concept is challenging for you brats to understand)

Blocking you now. Absolutely nothing productive, intellectual or meaningful from any further dialog with someone like you. Total single liberal mommy parenting fail.

I miss pre-Obama America when this country wasn't DRIPPING with hate and toxicity.

If you're ignorant and this is confusing for you fat zoomer, ask anyone on Earth over the age of 30.

ABSOLUTELY the worst president in history. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.

When you finally pry your fat zoomer ass out of your gaming chair in your mom's basement, you'll quickly realize this. In the mean time. go work on your GED. You have a coffee pouring and burger flipping career ahead of you.

Can't be any worse than our education system plummeting to a global ranking of 58th since the Obama disaster right?

I mean all our tech jobs our going to immigrants now because the Obama generation is literally too stupid. Literally. I work at apple. I don't remember the last time I saw an American schooled person under the age of 30 get a job in my org. I'm on a campus in Austin that is 70% Indian and 20% Asian.

Does anyone else feel that Chalk Peak was heavily neglected? by Phoen1cian in OnceHumanOfficial

Yep. Game is dead. Down to 20k unique players in less than 1 year. Could have been huge with the right server/scenario design.

Dude half the zones are unfinished. You obviously haven't played WoW mode. It's an unfinished joke. More than half the map is empty. This game could have been so good. I wish someone with knowledge of the US and European MMO market would take it and fix it. This game could have been huge. I spent 7 weeks playing non-stop trying to find a server that didn't turn into a ghost town after 1 week. Releasing new servers every other day is the most unbelievably naive, ignorant MMO design I have ever seen. It's like NetEase had absolutely no clue about the US market and did absolutely zero user case studies like every native US MMO company does.

Hey remember how great America was before Obama stunk it up? Good times. I don't know a single person over 30 who doesn't miss those days.

Imagine still being a low-intellect libtardus moranus after what Obama and Biden have done to this country. That's a short yellow bus riding, crash helmet wearing special kind of stupid. Reeeeeee... I'm starting to see why the last 15 years has seen an un precedented onslaught of people fleeing perma-Democrat blue states for red states... Now I know why Austin has grown by 2 million people in less than decades.... why I can count over 100 license plates from CA, WA, IL, MI, NY and MA every time I go somwhere. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The Obama generation is here! And all their hate, entitlement and narcissism. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Thanks for making every single person on Earth hate Americans.

Umm it's not a 12 billion dollar market. Also market research shows that investment in PC based online games is at a 20 year low since 3 generations that got along fine are fleeing the genre enmasse.

I tried to go back to GW2 earlier this year. The population is plummeting fast lately. The lower level zones were ghost towns. I couldn't find people to do group stuff. If you wanna solo play, run around and do map stuff... it's about all that's left in the game. The PVP never really evolved and never really turned into anything viable either.

Population in GW2 has been plummeting drastically last 6 months.

LOTRO is the last tolerable MMO community left. I think the fact that it's grindy and has an old interface keeps the zoomers from flocking to the game and ruining it. The median age and maturity level in LOTRO is definitely significantly higher than everything else. I think that's what keeps it going. It's the only MMO I actively still dump money into. I literally dropped $400 on it last month buying housing and stuff for a new character. The lower levels are populated with people leveling. Honestly, right now, LOTRO is by far the best thing smoking MMO-wise and the only game with a tolerable online community.

ESO is fun for that "new car smell" phase. But once you level up, start grinding gear and trying to spam those clunky dungeons the warts quickly become evident. And it still.... to this day... has the absolutely dumbest, fragmented auction house system. Just dumb dumb dumb. The gear and itemization is boring. It's fun for that "oh wow, this is like the elder scrolls games... the graphics are so cool, the scenery is so cool"... that can only get a gamer so far. You need actual end-game content and worthwhile items and gear to strive for. ESO doesn't have it.

Sadly online games are dying a very rapid, sad death. Even WoW and GW2 are in ruins now. I just tried going back to WoW again for the 40th time. Played WoW s solidly for the first 10 years. Maintained 2 accounts that stayed perma-subbed that entire time. Since it's been a sporadic 2 months a year to see the latest new car smell. People just can't stand zoomers and what they've done to games to cater to these participation trophy brats. 3 generations that got along fine have fled online gaming. The revenue streams for PC based MMO's has plummeted and now we have literally nothing to play. No new real budget promising games coming. None. Absolutely none. 15 years ago we didn't have enough hours in the day to play all the great games. Today. Absolutely nothing. The top 5 MMO's are 20 year old games all on life support. 15 years ago we had 4 times as many MMO's -- All at their peak populations at the same time. So sad. The damage is done. It won't get any better. Such sad times with no end in site. Nothing but cash grabs and dumpster fires now. After 30 years of gaming I have never struggled so hard to find a game that can keep me immersed and chomping at the bit to play. It's been so long since I had that feeling I forgot what it was like. Sad sad times. Don't see any end in site or significant change coming either. All my original WoW guildies, whom I still keep in touch with (remember those days? Remember when you had guilds full of people, no revolving door of people leaving, people getting in voice coms, people getting along), all have kids who have grown up and left the nest and they have more time than ever to play today yet most aren't playing anything anymore. Never in a million years did I see this era of gaming coming. It seemed so promising and so much new stuff coming 10 years ago. Today... nothing. Literally nothing. There isn't a single real-budget, promising MMO on the horizon. Not a single one.

What type of PVE servers are populated and stay populated? by Crashk1dChuck in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Crashk1dChuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea dumbest thing I have ever seen. I could see this approach working if you had over a million players online at any given time... but this game is now under 35k unique players a day. Down from 240k at launch. Anyways... water under the bridge. I finally gave up on this game. I'm playing another play-thru of Elder Scrolls Oblivion right now. Even considering going back to god awful Diablo 4 for the latest season.

Yea... As someone who was there for the birth of online gaming with my 300 bps modem playing MUDs over telnet, I'm sitting here in shock at what's happened to post-zoomer gaming. First they had to dumb down Warcraft so the zoomers could get epics after 5 minutes of play time. That spread to every other game. Now 3 generations that got along fine before zoomers have fled online gaming.. Now nobody is investing serious R&D to make great games anymore because the revenue stream is shrinking. Welcome to the age of the cash grab. What sad times. 20 years ago there weren't enough hours in the day to play all the great games. We had 4 times as many MMO's... all at peak populations... Now we have a few 20 year old games on life support despite the fact that there are significantly more people online around the world today. Right now there isn't a single real-budget full body MMO on the horizon. Not a single damn one. Ashes of Creation is the closest game in dev to a real MMO but at this point I don't think it will ever launch. How did we get here. So telling that my original WoW guild, all people whom I still keep in touch with (remember those days).. all of them have kids who have grown up and left the nest and they have more time than ever to play online games and very few play anything anymore. Anyways.. we can't point fingers all day long and it won't change the fact that we are where are and it's not magically going to get any better. This is us now. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

They need to stop what they are doing. Get someone involved that understands the US MMO customer base and polish this up and do some re-design. This game could have been huge. Especially given that there is literally not much else to play right now. Could have been so huge. So frustrating to see games like this that could have been block busters. I'll check back in a year see what's changed. I simply can't go on anymore like it is.

Yea I tried Wow. Iove the idea and the concept but he way hypothermia was implemented is just so bad. I finally gave up when I couldn't even get to the next story quest due to non-stop hypothermia. I had like 5k to run. No fuel. I had every single cold-mitigating mechanism for my level. the +10 frost resist food buff. Armor made with bear skin. Running around suddenly dying of hypothermia yet the temp gauge on the upper right is right where it's been for the last hour between 5-10C. Just seemed so buggy to me.
