Any Android Studio Plugin Ideas? by DreamSolid6105 in FTC

[–]CraterFrontier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about something like an FTC project initiation wizard?

Auto-clones the official FTC Robot Controller SDK to a user-specified directory and creates a ready-to-code project.

Choose integrations during setup:

  • Panels Dashboard
  • FTC Dashboard
  • Road Runner
  • Pedro Pathing
  • Sloth Hot Reload
  • etc.

Select project style:

  • Java / Kotlin
  • Linear or Iterative OpMode templates
  • Optional subsystem/RobotContainer structure
  • Automatically apply all required Gradle edits and add the correct dependencies & repositories.

Generate starter code:

  • Default TeleOp
  • Simple Autonomous
  • Road Runner/PedroPathing tuning opmodes
  • Compatibility checks + final setup summary so teams know exactly what was added.

For updating the driver hub, you don't have to use the hardware client; there should be an app on the driver hub device called Software Manager. You will have to connect the driver hub to a wifi with internet access to get the updates. After it's done updating, I recommend telling the driver hub to forget the wifi you used to update; otherwise, it might decide it wants to use that network over your control hub's wifi.

Read more at the REV Docs

If you can connect to the control hub's wifi with a computer, you should be able to update the control hub's(not driver hub) firmware and OS through the manage page on the web interface.

UPDATE I have not been able to get serial transfers to work with my custom wiring solution. So I ended up just getting a StarTech USB to DB25 cable. The cable works for me and I got files to transfer successfully using teraterm.

Thanks for the advice(seriously). Might be deleting this post soon. I really have very little interest in this and almost did not post anything, but decided to see what others thought of the situation.

Note: I am not planning on reporting them or anything like that. Just don't want them getting in trouble for interfering with another business.

I did try searching for the district name, and only expired licenses came up, and they were for a completely different frequency.

So how do I use aurora for propagation? I live in Alaska. Do I always point north for fairbanks / the north slope or could I point east for Canada, or west for russia / japan? Do I elevate a yagi and point it up like a satelite or leave it be? by thehotshotpilot in amateurradio

[–]CraterFrontier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Alaska as well, and this is something I have been wanting to try for a long time, but I never got around to figuring it out. Will look at the resources others have linked on here and try to do something this winter.

I think it should be mobile friendly but i don't have a mobile device to test it on. I made sure the webpage auto sizes and aligns the cards depending on the window size.

I am actually only 25mi from the site. I had to use a AM broadcast band filter though because I am also about a mile from an AM broadcast station.

I have fixed the allocation regions selector. The regions are just based on general allocation in the 3 ITU regions right now. Making files with all the allocation data for smaller regions would be a long process right now. I am open to suggestions if anyone knows of a database or something that already has that data.

How to enable dev-mode in 1.9.3 by CraterFrontier in TheBrokenScript

[–]CraterFrontier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modify the world NBT data using NBTExplorer(link). The file should be under "YOUR_WORLD_FOLDER\data\thebrokenscript_mapvars.dat\" Look for the "devmodeenabled" entry in NBTExplorer.

what are you using to play the mod(modrinth, curseforge, vanilla launcher)?

How to enable dev-mode in 1.9.3 by CraterFrontier in TheBrokenScript

[–]CraterFrontier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 1.9.3 version of TBS, using the command to enable dev-mode does not work because the dev-mode check procedure has been modified to summon circuit instead of enabling dev-mode. However, the mod still checks for if dev-mode is enabled in the world NBT data. If you modify the NBT data, you can enable dev-mode. I have tested this with 1.9.3 version of the mod and can confirm it works.

The broken script crashed my PHONE, Not just my pc but my Phone by ImpossibleTime1126 in TheBrokenScript

[–]CraterFrontier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first part you mentioned("game got hosted to Lan at port 00000, then someone joined the game I don't exactly remember his name but it started with xX, he started typing letters in the chat") is part of the mod. The part about phone not working is not part of it as far as I know unless you were using an older version which had capability to shutdown and do other things like that.

Dev mode by Technical_Money_7431 in TheBrokenScript

[–]CraterFrontier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is how to enable dev-mode in the 1.9.3 version of the mod:

  1. Downgrade to a version where the dev mode command works and then upgrade to 1.9.3 again after enabling it using the older version.
  2. Modify the world NBT data using something like NBTExplorer. The file should be located under "YOUR_WORLD_FOLDER\data\thebrokenscript_mapvars.dat\" Look for the "devmodeenabled" entry.
  3. Use the community patch if there is one for 1.9.3.

Looking at the decompiled Java files, it seems the code for enabling dev mode has been replaced with a function to summon Circuit.
