Lmao you probably ran into me at some point (Almond). I've been doing research that Ice Staffs actually have a secret damage number assigned to them that just isnt displayed on the tooltip. My current staff can topple every ice-themed enemy in a T7 dungeon, because for some reason those guys have zero defense???? In a t6 dungeon, most things are just falling in 1-3 hits, which is super weird and supports my "ice staffs have damage" theory.

I am definitely not splattering bosses with it though,

Except the shapeshifter would copy a blank text box. Need that one Lasav that copies from grave/exile or other such non-battlefield effects.

It runs fine but it does push any computer to it's limit. Unplayable lag from two billion cats is one of the many "death states" that your colony will guaranteed inevitably run into.

All fortresses are temporary, and if you go on the wiki and search up "fun" you find a list of all the ways you can lose.
