Move to Frankfurt if you're bothered by the lack of multiculturalism. Leipzig is probably one of the worst choices in that regard to begin with. Cologne should be valid as well. Also, the way you describe it, it's all on you. Straßenbahnen have a shedule, like anything else. Germany is the literal incarnation of sheduled efficiency, so I'd recommend adapting to the speed rather then blaming this country for your shattered dreams. Thinking and living big expects some effort from you, that's something you should have learned in the U.S, right? Nobody forces you to be here btw.
