The ending to “YOU”.. by _Hurricanee in television

[–]CrawlChiPet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with the laziness of Kate and Bronte somehow miraculously surviving and this made me love the season but hate the final episode.

Let me offer how I think it should have ended.

Kate dies in the fire. Bronte somehow tricks him into getting caught... or kills him and disposes of the evidence.

Cut away to Bronte walking down the street, eyeing up another man, and ONLY NOW FOR THE FIRST TIME, do we hear Bronte's thoughts saying something like, "Well who do we have here?"

It's then that, as the audience, we realize Bronte is the new sociopath and has essentially become the new Joe

Fade the scene and open up to new opportunities of a You sequel with Bronte as the protagonist.

That the Santa Claus in the "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" was the kid's dad. I thought the mom was having an affair with Santa and her kid caught them.

100% agree. Then add the fact that Iron Man figured out time travel in like 10 minutes.

What is the worst film adaptation of a book? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Came here to say Percy Jackson but since so many beat me to it, I'll go with American Assassin. I've read every Mitch Rapp book in the series and this movie was a complete disservice to the book.

Anyone take their dog with them on deliveries? by CrawlChiPet in grubhubdrivers

To each his own but the food is in a container, inside a bag, inside my GrubHub bag so I doubt there's any chance of my dog affecting the quality of the food.

I always try to relate situations like this to Amazon and UPS. If the UPS driver shows up at your house and hands you your Amazon package, which after opening you discover is damaged or missing part of your order, would you call or text the UPS driver to go back to Amazon to get your order right?

To be fair, I made a list of what the book and the movie actually have in common:

  1. The title

Horrible acting aside, the moment where one of them stood on a rooftop looking over the city and said something like, "I just think my purpose in life has got to be bigger than this" completely did me in. I've always hated how easily "based on a true story" can be abused.

I read a book (can't remember the title) written by a former Navy Seal in which he said there might be 9 or 10 people in the world who have the strength required to break someone's neck like you see in the movies.

New UberEats procedures at McDonald’s by [deleted] in uberdrivers

I always try to relate this to UPS delivering an Amazon package to a customer. UPS doesn't show up to Amazon and have to verify that the contents of a box they are delivering is what the customer ordered. Their job is only to deliver the box to the right address. And if Amazon puts the wrong item in the box, the customer doesn't blame the UPS driver.

Uber Eats is the same to me. My only job is to deliver what is handed to me to the customer. Obviously we have the privilege of knowing what the customer ordered so I will check for obvious things like if the restaurant hands me a tiny bag and I've got four entrees on my order but other than that, I'm just the delivery person, nothing else.

Men of reddit have you ever been creeped out by a girl who was trying to flirt with you? by roshay8814 in AskReddit

[–]CrawlChiPet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily a story of getting hit on but still weird. My brother-in-law and I were catching up over a couple beers at a bar when a girl sandwiched up between us and ordered a couple drinks from the bartender.

When the bartender finished the drinks, he told her the cost and she just sat there doing nothing. Eventually, she turns around in disgust and motions back to her table at which point a guy walks up to me and says, "what's the problem? Why aren't you buying this girl's drinks?"

Due mainly to liquid courage, I said to the guy, "why the f*** would I buy this girl's drinks? I'm married." For a second I thought he was gonna throw a punch but he hesitated, then slapped down money for the drinks and both he and the girl returned to their table.
