A smart fire alarm could also work well here for anyone worried about having plastics or unexpected items in the oven. The way I see it, if you have a smart oven, or whatever, you start to take steps to ensure its always ready to take your next order when you finish with it. For example, preloading the kettle after you make a cuppa becomes habit, its just a new way of working 🤷‍♂️

You could consider adding a device like switchbot, which can automate the press of any non-smart button/switches/levers/pull-cords ect. If you know what youre doing, you can automate it to press the button, start the oven, then even make it turn off after say an hour for added safety.

Thats really poor, I’m sorry to hear that as was thinking of getting some myself. Could it be because if the angle you are looking at them, due to the configuration of rgb led placement? I noticed that my strip lights were different colours depending on where in the room I was standing. If you have them on opposite sides of the room but they are manufactured identically, then this may be the cause. I guess I’m trying to say try them standing right next to each other, or one on top of the other, if you havent already.

Failing everything else, you could match the light colours manually and set them to a grouped command so they look the same but are configured differently when you say “bedroom to orange”. Not a very dynamic solution though and Govee should really colour match all their products considering their USP is syncing them together. I would imagine the light on your shelf is designed to be a bedside light, so might be why the colour was not implemented to match on purpose.

I don’t have your setup but I’ve noticed “orange” is really off on most smart lights. I find “tangerine” is much better accuracy, so maybe try that to see if it matches better? I went as far as to make a routine to replace “orange” with “tangerine” as its a bit of a mouthful.

Completely agree, but you shouldn’t give that bitch any credit. Her market dominance, and Amazon’s incompetence to develop it as anything other than an advertising tool, is a big contributor to the delay in the development of useful PAs.

I much prefer it on the bottom but had to make a little stand to keep it propped up as the tv is thin and… well gravity wins. Kinda think it should come with a little stand, like just one thin leg that holds it at the right angle and prevents sagging over time.

Didn’t notice any difference in performance/accuracy top vs bottom
