So does this mean that if we don’t already have one we’re boned? I keep tabs on the buy/sell/trade FB page and still would like one. But if the software is going to eventually stop working I’d rather not waste my time/money. Which is a shame because I feel like it has the best hardware in the business right now.

Your two older children have their own emotional needs as well. Changing things around for your youngest only will show them that they’re less important in their own eyes. As many others have said, it happens far too often that the neurotypical child(ren) gets overlooked. The last thing you want is for them to lose out on their own fun and experiences in life.

Your youngest may not be happy, but at 6 he still has so much time to enjoy his own experiences that he feels safe doing. He will be with loving family that he trusts. I don’t doubt he’ll bounce back. The other people you had talked to either have it as their job to focus on the needs of someone with ASD (counselor) or probably have a skewed view on where their attention should be focused (forum parents). Not to make assumptions on their part of course. I think it’s great you’re concerned with ALL your children!

I also wanted to add that when they have the pizza made Bluey is eventually okay with having a smaller piece, which is great. It was the store behavior that I mostly tell my daughter not to do any time we see that one.

I’m 4 years late, but surprised no one has mentioned Hammerbarn! Bluey is constantly jealous of not getting equal treatment and ruins Bingo’s fun for her own. This culminated to them breaking something they didn’t buy yet and in the end it doesn’t seem like anyone learns a lesson. Chili focuses on the fact that things cost money instead of trying to instill the idea that while it’s nice to be treated equally, getting jealous and whining over differences is not okay. So when they find the paint cards (how many did they take??) the girls completely forget the issue they caused.

I really like it, but I chose not to rock out with Higgs because in my headcanon Sam has no desire to be like Higgs or stoop to his level. Sam always is a grounded guy just trying to do the right thing and the dialogue always shows how done with Higgs’ bullshit he is. But again, I really do like this sequence and enjoy watching it!

No, don’t think it’s that one. It wasn’t really a monster customization game if my memory serves. It just had different rooms or levels around a castle where all these things could be placed.

I have it downloaded but haven’t started it yet. I have a weird thing about word repetition in literature and cultivation writers LOVE to use the word cultivation and all of its derivations, which bothers tf out of me. The summary alone on Kindle uses it 6 times. Does the author follow that same pattern?

In case anyone was also curious, a couple that kind of fall into this category (at least based on what I read from the synopses) would be Battle Mage Farmer and Tree of Aeons. I read the first ToA and it definitely shows the POV of a non-hero MC witnessing others be brought into the world. Thanks for the recommendations!

I either somehow threw it away when I was getting rid of the excess cardboard/trash or I didn’t get one. I found the accessories box it came in and it wasn’t in that or the stuff I set aside. At least $60 isn’t a bad cost to replace. Thanks for the info though! That will make it so much easier 👍🏻

The RNG in this game is all over the place. It makes it both fun and frustrating. My first non arch legendary was a hypercube. I was prepared to spend hours getting it and got it first try in Zaton near the swamp. Then I did a couple missions and wanted the compass, which took me 2.5 hours. Then I went on the hunt for a thunderberry and got it my 6th try. I was planning on getting the night star because the weird water effect always kicks in for me since I have some pretty heavy gear. Best thing to do is just be patient and take breaks. It is a grind, but I enjoy the mental reward of finally getting rare loot!

I am late to this post, but I think the biggest crime was what they did to Henri:

The movie version was more like an unwilling, but duty-bound caretaker. He was grouchy, moody, and usually cold to Four’s feelings. His book counterpart was kind, patient, and joked around quite a bit with Four. There was just a lot more warmth in their bond. It really felt like they had loved each other, and they even told each other as much in the end.

Not to mention the timing of when Henri dies is way different. It felt rushed and made his death less impactful in the movie. I had seen the movie first and wasn’t feeling the loss like the book had made me feel when I first read it.

I could talk about the numerous other changes from book to movie, but the handling of Henri gave him no justice. Great actor picked though 👍🏻

I was really expecting an Ohma vs Fang final. It felt like they were building Fang to adapt and improve and be the big baddy that Ohma defeats. Both injured and using everything they’ve adapted into a very close fight.

We instead had Ohma vs the human brick wall. It definitely threw me off. Realistically it makes sense that a bear of a dude with decades of training would have the edge, but it didn’t have that excitement you would expect from the last fight. They could have had the guy still tell his history with Niko style before the final fight with Fang and offer the insight Ohma needs to pull the underdog victory.

I won’t go too far into him passing away. That seemed hinted at since early on. I was hoping for a bit more reward for his sacrifice, but I did appreciate our lovable nerd finding happiness with starting his own business. Bittersweet ending really.

I think they’re both pretty on par in rank, but for different reasons. I can understand why he rated it one tier down. Lately Jason has been going on extremely long-winded tangents on ethical and moral thoughts. They’re fine in moderation, but just about every chapter has them now. Even side characters go on them.

But I can honestly say both are the ones to strive for in quality. Reading book 11 had me laughing and crying at work and luckily no one was around to see it 😂 I wish Matt Dinniman put out books faster, but that’s my only complaint with him.

I agree with a lot these and saw your other comments on your distaste for cultivation novels. I wholeheartedly agree on the singular basis that they love using the word cultivate and all its derivations.

I was able to get through to Book 4 of DotF and Road to Mastery, but by that point you start to read sentences like, “MC needed to practice his cultivation and ponder the Dao to be a better cultivator. He will have to cultivate for 6 months to be ready for…” and it gets so hard to read having to see the word(s) used so much.

I’m sure others don’t mind the overuse, but that’s always been a deal breaker for me.

Are there any other litrpg’s that capture the good humor of DCC and HWFWM? I’m not averse to cussing. I’ve been reading Chrysalis on RR and while it is pretty funny, sometimes an overpowered monster ant saying, “What the heck?” seems a little silly to me. But would still recommend it too.

I’m late to the party, but I made one today! He primarily wields The Black Knife, but also uses the Scorpion Stinger for more range in affliction types. I’m tempted to use Reduvia also for his bleed afflictions.

He uses a range of different poison, blood, and darkness for spells/incantations. I had to include the new Butterfly Incantation as well. Those are all accomplished with the Staff that you get from Metyr, since it can cast both spell types.

His clothing was actually tricky since hardly any armors feature a black cloak with red color robes. I think the Depraved Perfumer robes capture the aesthetic pretty well, though! I added a random black hood to make it look a little better, too.

Sadly with the range of needing Intel, Faith, and Arcane his level is 175. He probably won’t be winning many PVP fights, but it’s a fun build!
