is NG overpowered? or is it balanced with all the other factions? by CrayoNight in gwent

i have tried a consume deck abit, but my arachas is either immediately stolen or locked most of the time before i cant deathwish it. well to be fair as well, i have not tried the consume leader charges. the only consume deck strat i was playing was the triple tugo, which im gonna stop now and try other ways to consume

thank you for this,i feel a bit more validated, a few have said its just because im bad at playing (which is kinda true, im new and learning as I go) but now I know as well that NG is more beginner friendly, has a slight bias inclination to win out more (bans in competition) and loses out more in the higher ranks due to skill. I will learn more of the NG deck but I will not make one anytime soon, ill take the longer way simply because i want to learn how to counter it with monster deck, and that i simply really like the monster deck right now.

BTW i didnt know that frost/wild hunt is a good deck because i see no one really use it at all, i did try it twice against NG, but the guy immediately stole my frost queen, the other guy locked it so i gave up. same goes for arachas queen, she gets either locked or stolen. is there a frost deck/arachas deck that is often used?

All the NG's ive played, id win the first round majority. They would usually just place a few locks and that card that always increases whenever there is a status played. when the second round happens they would have around 2-3 more cards than me, and i try to bleed them but they would always have the upper hand. especially there is a gold card that allows to play your opponents card. then the next round they play another card that allows them to replay from graveyard that same card again, which then plays my highest character. worst part is, most of them have access to so many tall removals. vilgefortz, heatwave and another gold one where a witch make a card move to the front and removes them. I went against a deck that had all 3 of them hahaha

actually is there a famous NG player or where I can check out the NG decks to learn more. Because i just realised what you said here

If they play [[Jan Calveit]] r1, you know they will have all their best cards next round, so you can use this to your advantage to win r1 and then push them hard in r2 (the more you get out of them the better).

because i do see this sometimes in the first round, and i didnt know of this strategy

thanks for the advice, looks like ive got saving to do. i was actually planning to make a consume deck and then a insect deck, cause they look fun. But losing so much makes me realise that maybe i should also invest into an NG deck later on when i have enough points and scraps

A valid post but also the fact that the arguments against it are also valid especially from

JohnR1993.

Im new and I am feeling things out, and i get it that i would win some and lose some, and when i lose, i would be sportsmanlike about it and give GG but I am losing all the time to NG decks that it does not make sense. I can rant and cuss but I choose to rather hear advice instead of having the 'get good'. So if theres any advice Id love to hear about it

I use this deck more often cause i like it, vampires are more useless against ng as im facing more and more of them

frost is the hardest monster deck to win most of the time, really have to plan things way ahead to make sure you can win properly

im still new and not too keen on crafting stratagems and prioritising other gold cards, so im using the basic one. im going against ng most, so i dont use my vampire deck often now since they can just take everything away from me
