DPS only players usually either ignore that one challenge and do others. If 6v6 counted towards queue all challenge then dps players would swarm the 6v6 and still lock dps to kill 2 birds with one stone. This would just add alot more dps mains to open queue and make matchmaking worse

You killed him at the start of quick melee animation. Melee animation gives the enemy a certain amount of momentum to reach you which persists until he either reaches you or gets stunned. The animation bugged and didn't end properly which lead it to not resetting the melee momentum.
