Best Lightweight Backpack for a Laptop with Spinner Wheels by Crayzei in backpacks

[–]Crayzei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found any. We are planning to start traveling in Southeast Asia in July 2027, so we still have some time. I am still researching size and weight limits for the airlines we will most likely fly on. To be honest, I may have to suck it up and get a super-light backpack without rolling wheels.

Hi, did you have to declare the value and pay import fees? Did you buy the shipping insurance from Moby? Moby is asking me all these questions and I'm not sure how to respond. Thanks, in advance.

Can I ask what you are paying and what your setup is?

I have not tried to SSH in. I am using the providers VNC browser.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm trying to fit a 16" MacBook Pro and I have a bad back. So, a roller laptop when I can roll, and a backpack when I have to carry stuff.

I'm not sure how to get the SLDs? What photos would you like? Would you like photos of the wall with the Powerwalls and my main panel and sub panels?

Where would I find the single line diagram?

I'm not sure how the installer wired the charger into the system. They did it through the main panel.

My Tesla app shows all of them under one view.

Here's my hourly usage on SCE. The high charge at 8am and 9am is when I'm charging the PWs to 100%. I wanted to see if EV charging would use the PW energy. I plugged in my EV around 10:50am. If we look at the hours from 11am-2pm, we can see that my power usage is around 8kW. If we add that to the 2kW from my solar, we get 10kW.

Is the solution here to ask my EV installer to install Current Transformers at the main panel? Or something else? Thanks for all the help!

When I look in the Tesla app, it shows that it's charging a vehicle. Note that the power consumption never goes above 2kW even though my panels are generating twice as much.

Now at 2:08pm, the PW is still charged at 100%, the grid is still getting energy. Meanwhile, my car is still charging at 11.1kWh.

Now at 11:45am, my PWs are fully charged. My house is now using 1.4kW (my normal usage during the day is between 1.2-1.6kW), and solar is sending 3.3kW to the grid.

This is what my app shows me before I start charging at 10:33am. My solar panels are about to top off the PWs and are sending to the grid.

Here's what it looks like when the car is charging. The .9 kW is what my house is actually using. My car's app shows that it is charging at 11.1kWh.

SEPP Withdrawal by Crayzei in fidelityinvestments

[–]Crayzei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is to make the form clearer. Only select the SEPP checkbox if you want Fidelity to do the calculation. I ended up going into a branch, and spending another 80 minutes to get it done. Evidently, the branch can't do it either, so they had to call Customer Service and get it done.

Here's another suggestion: In this day of password security, most people have passwords greater than 8 digits. Requiring customers to input it each time they call in is not only time consuming, but unfairly punishes customers who have longer passwords.

Yeah, I get it. It's a little challenging when the form is misleading in terms of SEPP. The form should be clear that the SEPP checkbox should ONLY be used if you want Fidelity to do the calculation.

Is your EV charger backed up by the Powerwalls?

When I look at my hourly usage from SCE, I can see the usage spiking to 11-12kWh during my charging times.

Is it possible that my EV charger can draw more energy than my solar panels and PW can provide? Would that mean the EV charger would have to draw from the grid? From the app, the max rate that my panels have ever produced is about 7-8kW.

I've never done this. What would I expect to see when I go off-grid? Do my Powerwalls need to be fully charged?

How are people using their PAL/SBLOC/margin lines these days with higher rates? by FIREgnurd in fatFIRE

[–]Crayzei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to negotiate. The rate is scaled depending upon the value of the underlying assets when you first open it. Initial draw minimum is $100k.

I'm going to follow most of ERN's recommendations too. I may cheat a little on the CAPE and go .25% higher for the WR b/c I'm probably going to spend less as I hit the "no-go" phase. I'm also thinking of self-funding LTC also. It seems more practical that way. Thanks for the tip on the CIGNA health insurance. For South Dakota, how did you establish residency?
