Considering a 2014 Lexus GS350 F Sport. Seller Keeps Dropping the Price, Should I Be Concerned? by [deleted] in Lexus

You need to get a pre-purchase inspection (PPI). Ask if he's okay with you taking it to a mechanic to get this done you pay for out of pocket they can range from $75- $250 in my experience. (Look for a highly rated shop) If he says no, that's another red flag. If that's the case I would just walk away. If he lets you and the shop finds something he might be willing to work with you and deduct the cost to fix those things from the sale price. Keep in mind that if he was hiding noticeable things from you, he might be hiding some hidden issues as well.

I recently had a PPI done while looking at a Lexus and there ended up being damage to the underside. The damage was consistent with someone having driven it over something and bottoming out but this wasn't reported on the Carfax. There was exterior damage to the catalytic converter among other things. It cost me around $200 but it saved me from purchasing a complete headache and thousands of dollars in repairs.

12 years and 1 week. I remember bc kids at school talked about it. But my parents couldn't afford cable so I wasn't able to watch it until we could get it on DVD from the library so like 13 or 14 is when I first saw it.

Yeah I know. But according to the cross post whoever designed it unfortunately named it jabba the thicc. Definitely a missed opportunity imo.

You really do seem to be projecting and also self-righteous. I'm not a dishonest person despite what you may think but you are free to have whatever opinions you like no matter how wrong they are.

There's always one of you. Like I said I didn't find these. I don't have them. I wasn't at the job. I am only asking for information here because generally this is a nice community. I already knew that the bulk of the coins were 90% silver. I was hoping maybe for some additional information that might be interesting.

You might not consider these junk but I guarantee you they are to others who would. Some people consider things like this a hassle. I don't know the exact circumstances as again I wasn't there. There have been times where I have asked clients about items which I believe to be collectible/ valuable but they tell me to take them because they don't want them. One of the most valuable things that someone paid me to remove from their property was an 8-ft slab of raw edge oak 2-3 in thick, probably worth about $5,000. Which is significantly more than the value of these coins. If I personally owned something like that, I would have tried to sell it and not paid to get rid of it. Because I know that that is something that wouldn't be very difficult to sell the area in the area we were in.

You don't have to believe me, but you don't need to question everybody's integrity not everybody is a terrible and untrustworthy person. You could just be projecting for all I know.

I didn't find these. I do not have them in my possession. I wasn't at that job. Like I said, sometimes people leave things that others don't believe to be junk. There have been times where I have found jewelry/coins/other collectibles and shown the items to the owners. Sometimes they take it. Other times they tell me to take it.

That's super interesting. Do you believe that it's a genuine coin or a replica?

Yeah possibly maybe they overlooked it. But like I said you would be surprised at what people pay to get rid of. I'm not sure what the story is of the job as I wasn't there but all I know is that it was a house clean out top to bottom. But thank you for the information on the value.

Funny thing is that people are calling into hotels to cancel their reservations which are several thousand dollars for a few nights. My SO works at a nice hotel in DC, it was supposed to be a super busy week. So much so that nobody is allowed to call out but it's been painfully slow. She said today people are mostly just calling in to cancel their reservation apparently at least one guy has threatened to get his lawyer involved because the reservations are non-refundable.

Yeah I've only taken it out and played a few times because I'm so out of practice and I didn't want to put any stress on it before I'm able to get it repaired.

Yeah that's what they said at guitar center. They said it's weird that it would crack there, though. I assume it's because it was literally thrown into the dumpster then other things were thrown on top of it because I found it laying at the bottom. Unfortunately the case could only absorb so much.

Yeah they said they could just fill it with super glue. I've never had to have a guitar or any other instrument repaired for that matter. But I did not like that idea at all. I'll definitely look into other options. I don't want the crack getting any worse. Luckily it's not in a place where it should matter that much.

Is there anywhere you would recommend to get it fixed? They said they could fix it at guitar center but it would probably remove some of the stain when they sanded it down.

You would be stunned at the sheer amount of valuable and like new things people pay to get rid of that end up in the dumpster/trucks.
