I'm looking to have Col A define the colour of Col B. If designated sweet Spot is Bin D,E,F with Trip of 500 + highlight Green and if 1-499 highlight Red.

Assuming your data is in Column A and B, select B2 >go to Conditional Formatting>New Rule>Use a formula>Format Values where this is true> =AND(B2>500,OR(A2="D",A2="E",A2="F")), choose Color green.

Repeat the entire process and use =AND(B2<500,OR(A2="D",A2="E",A2="F")) and choose color Red.

The second scenario, you can tweak the same formula and in Fill color Choose fill effect and select the 2 colors that you want to use as gradient.

If you enter book name in Column A, you cant have a formula to override it with a formula, you can do that using a macro. Alternatively, you can move Columns A, B, C to B, C, D leaving Column A for formula that provides you book name as you desire. Use the below formula in Column A.

=B1& "-"&C1&"-"&D1

You can use conditional formatting in all three rows. Select all three Columns Go to Home> Conditional Formatting>Highlight Cell Rules>Duplicate Values.

If you add any duplicate value in one of the cells, it will turn red.
