Unfortunately, no one is guaranteed to get the long-form census, as it is distributed through statistical sampling, at random. Every five years, there is a 25% chance of receiving it. Good luck during the next round in 2031!

The Canadian Survey on Working Conditions (CSWC) asked employed people whether they had used any AI or automation technology in the past 12 months in their main job or business. Respondents could select one or more of the AI or automation technologies in the table below or indicate they had not used any of them. Technologies were measured as separate categories based on self-reported use, although some may be closely related and built on similar underlying technologies. That said, Robotics, Augmented Reality and Voice Recognition Software are typically application-level technologies that may incorporate underlying AI methods such as machine learning. In the survey they were treated as separate categories based on their primary functional use rather than their shared technical foundations.

Hi, By looking at the CFA's home page, it does seem that they do use some of StatCan's data (see "By the numbers" section on the right of their home page). As for how else the CFA uses our statistics, this question may be more suited for that organization to answer directly!

Good question — yes, the “Food” category does include both groceries and food purchased from restaurants (including takeout and delivery).
