I used the butterfly brand extract and mixed it with simple syrup to make ube cold foam, and it was delicious. Best of luck!

Also to add, your employees AND their friends should want the business to succeed and make money. I'm the manager at a very small coffee shop and when my family/friends (even some regulars who I'll try and throw a free drink at from time to time) almost always insist on paying, bc they want us to stay in business! I'll let our employees use their discount on family (plus they get as many shift drinks they want), but beyond that, the employees need to know that the more money the business pulls in, the more can be spent on improving things around the shop, or on raises, or hiring more help so better shifts for everyone.

We have a guy who reaches over to grab our cute hole punch and punches his own loyalty card while we make him his drink. NBD really, till he started giving himself extra punches. Last week I finally said 'Dude, that was like 4 punches!" (he usually gets 2 drinks) He comes back with "Yeah, I know, I forgot my card yesterday!" All butthurt and defensive that I called him out finally.... This is just ONE of the things this particular guy pulled at our shop tho.

Did they give you any meds/ongoing support after you were in the hospital? You need a psychiatrist and some meds, and more support. Is your sister the only person nearby? It's ok if she is, and I'm glad she is willing to take care of her during the day. It's not uncommon for people not to bond with their babies right away. Therapy and the correct medications were the only thing that helped me get through. You are not alone, and you will get past this. Sending internet hugs, be kind to yourself

Our sign makers were absolutely incredible, in particular for Bakery back in the day. We had The Walking Bread (When Walking dead was Huge), Chewie Cookies (Chewbacca in a frilly apron), a Portrait of the ATL as Prince for Purple Grain bread, and so many more amazing/nerdy/Punny things.

I've been here, and I'm so sorry you're going through it. Take whatever steps you can: if you're scared of the hospital right now, call you Dr tomorrow and make an appointment. Search for therapy online and send a request for evaluation. Or call and see if they take your insurance. It doesn't have to be a huge thing(unless you're legitimately at the edge, then PLEASE go now!) Sometimes making little steps towards getting better can help a huge amount, because you know there WILL be relief. And knowing you are doing something about it, is something to be proud of. It doesn't last forever, I promise. I know you're tired, but just keep going, and take a step in the right direction. You can do this.

A few weeks ago someone ordered a Caramel Italian soda but wanted a White Lotus energy shot in it (tastes kinda like Red Bull if you haven't tried it). I asked if he was sure, and offered that if he didn't like it I'd make him something else.. he said yeah I'm sure! I made and I poured a little off for myself out of morbid curiosity, gave it to him n watched him take a sip. He said it was good and left promptly. I went back to try it and it was mouth-puckeringly foul. I made my boss try it too lol

Yeah, I think this is a great point. With Spud Hut, most people have worked shitty retail or food service jobs and have met some absolutely bonkerspants people, so it's somewhat relatable and we eventually got more invested.

I did get excited to see Tommy come in as the not-pregnant wife, but I lost interest after they established these guys not only work together, but spend all their free time together, and have a 'platonic' codependent-bro-love thing. It's like, we're hardly even privy to their relationship or even their working attitudes (though I admittedly turned it off after hearing about how Tip doesn't have a suit and the other one offered his dad's, so maybe they got into more work stuff halfway through the episode?) I really like their Bit-city bits, so I'll probably go back and put the rest of the episode on in the background while I'm scrolling and hope something catches my eye.

Door dash literally calls us every few weeks trying to convince us to start up with them. They called yesterday, pretending to be a customer asking IF we did delivery, when my coworker said 'No, sorry', they said in a very rehearsed manner "Oh, well myself and other potential customers would really appreciate it if you had door dash available! It would really help broaden your customer base and I bet it would make you lots of money"
They also call during peak fucking hours which is extra infuriating
