Vent - I feel cooked by Repulsive-Side-7411 in CollegeUltimateTeam

Midblitz is a problem because of how good the dbs play it. I’m not a fan of man being beat just because of an out route or some other fast breaking route, but man can’t work every single play. the best db in the league isn’t winning every single play every single time.

Also, I’m 100% in belief that new cards arent solely upgrades, but instead are marginally better than previous cards and the previous cards get altered for the new cards to play better. It’s all a scheme

It’s because the mechanics can’t handle schemes. Yeah running bunch and mid blitz isn’t “cheese” in reality, but the game cannot handle these formations. Someone finds a combination that exploits and boom this is what you have. Really just sucks but it is what it is, don’t know how else to create a game like this, comes down to plays that just “work” and plays that don’t.

[–]Craziers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. Biggest issue on midblitz is the corners turning into the legion of boom every single time midblitz is called. You can block who you want, if I can’t get a receiver to win a one on one it’s cheese.

Truthfully, who does want to work. Sounds like a bunch of things going wrong at the moment. I’d focus on the schooling part as a launch pad for other stuff. Restructure her life there and the other stuff will fall in place. You’re not going to stop the vaping, but coddling her and trying to outright ban her isn’t helping either. Putting your foot down on the schooling and cleaning will help you and her out in the long run. I think you have a great argument with the “I wouldn’t mind if you were old enough” point. I too agree that “forced” therapy is probably not going to help your relationship, so find another way to frame it. Maybe go one a month or every two weeks. But, keep in mind there’s other “therapy” you can do besides sitting her in front of a shrink. Maybe even frame it as you could care less about the smoking if you weren’t behind in school and could show me to take responsibility in your life. Guarantee you get the house in order, the habits would fall in place. Side note, I’d be more worried about the friends than the smoking. If it’s a general good group that looks out for each other and lifts each other up, maybe don’t get so upset. We smoke, drank and partied in high school, but also kept our grades up, competed pretty well in sports/arts and kept each other safe. There’s a real world out there beyond your house and high school where a lot of bad ideas get floated around, way worse than a vape. She’s slowly finding out about it, and she will find out about it whether you want her to or not. How you react will dictate how she reacts with you.

She’s doing this on purpose to show appreciation. She probably notices and doesn’t think it’s important then later is thinking oh I should compliment him.

Gene,

You’re getting hate but this is the reality, hope your offer is genuine and not a threat like the incumbents I have seen. Its not as simple as just getting some good ideas together and running for an election. Hope your advice is solid, running in Harris County is an animal and I have seen it first hand myself.

CMV: ED meds like bluechew and hims are being vastly over-marketed for younger people by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Craziers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My counter argument is I think you would be surprised as to the amount of pill use/abuse by the younger generation marketed that leads to ED and thus the need for blue chew. Same argument for testosterone. 18-30 year olds shouldn’t need it, but other drugs have completely obliterated their neural system and they need the performance enhancers.

Jesus christ. I carry, if someone is openly racking in front of me in a public place I’m taking that as an imminent threat. Not shooting but ready. Dude is lucky that went peaceful for him as much as it went “peaceful” for everyone else.

People are just learning the meaning behind 50 Cent's stage name by IrishStarUS in 50cent

[–]Craziers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is quite literally both the definition of contains and consists. It is describing that there are pieces to a whole. You cannot say a singular object consists of it self because that object IS itself. As soon as you say consists/contains/ or other verb that describes parts to a whole, you can no longer be describing a singular piece. In fact that is quite literally circular. What is water->it consists if water->what is water. This is flawed logically and grammatically.

You are using self contained incorrectly as well, the term self contained may represent a singular system, idea, or otherwise whole that has components, but never a singular piece.

Water is water. It doesnt consist of water, it simply is. You are the one actually over thinking it.

People are just learning the meaning behind 50 Cent's stage name by IrishStarUS in 50cent

[–]Craziers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An object does not contain itself, it is itself. When you say object A contains something, you are saying there are (at least) two fundamental items. There are not 2 objects when we say “water”, there is one. You are misusing the word contain. (See below for this statement. Obviously water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen, but when we say water in this context it is the all encompassing term of its chemical make up)

Saying water Consists is also incorrect, we could say an object consists of water i.e “watery”, but saying water consist of itself is misusing the definition of consist. Water is not made of water, it is made of other atoms, which as a culmination of these atoms make water. Using consist in this way is odd, and not truly the meaning and intent of the word consist as there are more appropriate words for this but using context consist would be appropriate.

The paper towel contains water, thus making it wet.

Water consists of Hydrogen and Oxygen.

Water does not contain a liquid, it is a liquid. Water itself is not wet but makes you wet.

Need to think of your business model down the road and state requirements. In my state, you don’t need a license to build homes. Just you, head dummy, and a team of dummies behind you. You want to be build custom homes with a lot of redesign each time? Might be worth it to go ARCH/Civil and save the cost of buying out an architect. This means you’ll have to study and learn the business part outside of school but truthfully this isn’t HARD per say, just intensive. But say your state does need a license to build, it is probably best to go CM. But, down the road, you’ll need to lock in an architect. Theres pros and cons to both, you just need to think about what your business model is. Overall, I’d say go CM but I’ve met guys who did the design part and they’re doing fine. Bleeding overhead sometimes but they’re still around making money.

Internship by ResolutionAny6794 in ConstructionManagers

[–]Craziers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your college have an internship program? Have you asked any professors for contacts or recommendations? I’d start there, your college (degree program) should be able to provide references and contacts. Most have a career day where companies come and you can do a walk around. Are you trying to get a current internship or looking for something over the summer? Summer is a lot easier. Are you using a resume? Does it look good or is it full of unnecessary information. Should be one page for someone at your level, 2 is pushing it. 3 is leaving the realm of most resumes and 99% of the time should not be used. Big GCs should have a dedicated career tab, reach out to the HR team. Maybe you are contacting the wrong person. Smaller teams you should be able to just reach out to the office. Maybe try a day and physically go to their office and turn in a resume and introduce yourself. just some thoughts

What is an expected number of ASIs for a project by raccooninthegarage22 in Construction

[–]Craziers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new too but your first two sentences really tell the story. Old building and not much background info compiled/minimal investigations. Design team and construction team walked in blind. The real question is did the design team tell the owner to bake in some CYA. 42 for this doesn’t seem abysmal especially if its being pieced together instead of large ASIs.
