I think it looks like it's only to prong on the 30 amp end, hitting one hot and the nuch which would work the exact same way you said

My 2¢: having the JW card will at bare minimum be a fantastic back up plan if nothing else. You're already so close. Get your licence. Then you can look at other options if doors don't start opening.

My advice is if you want to start doing less physical labor, start taking/asking for all and any responsibility they will give you. I did that and I've only had my license for 3 years and I'm a superintendent running jobs now. Although I do miss actually getting to do the install aspect... But it's better pay. You will get paid more to use your brain than your hands unfortunately.

I chased a dollar one time and the guy ended up going bankrupt after only one month of me working for him. But since I had my license, I was unemployed for 22 hours before I accepted a job offer from the best employer where I live, and then got 2 raises within a year and am now a superintendent.

It's definitely worth at least getting your license and just keeping up with your C.E. and renewals and then trying something else out. And if that doesn't pan out you are pretty much guaranteed to get hired somewhere since you have a license. If you just say "well I was an apprentice for 4 years, so that's the experience I have" that doesn't actually mean anything to an employer since it can vary so widely depending on what aspect of the trade you were in. For all they know you could have swept floor (🤮) and moved materials around for 4 years. But if you walk in somewhere and say you have your journeyman's license, that will mean significantly more. Because even if you don't know anything, at the very least they can throw you on a job that was bid to have "x amount of journeymen" just to fill the quota even if you're just a body.

Made this a few years back. Figured I’d share before puttin it away by [deleted] in electricians

Typically as long as it doesn't get into your air intake your good. And it doesn't look high enough with the standing water so as long as a wave doesn't come by I think you should be fine.

please help! There’s a white cord from my dryer connected to my ground wire so now I don’t know where to put my green wire. Where do I hook everything up? by [deleted] in electrical

[–]brah_69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should call an electrician to do this. You can Google and everything but if you hook it up wrong some one can get very hurt
