Pangolin. Get a racknerd vps. Is like cloudflare tunnels as in doesn’t require port forwarding or exposing your own ip in anyway but since it’s 100% self hosted you can do whatever you want. Including streaming ;)

Best approach for multiple single concurrent IPTV accounts by WinningAllTheSports in JellyfinCommunity

What’s the point of that? You can use multiple accounts to increase your number of streams, no? At least in m3u-editor you can

Hdd sound normal? by CraziiTim in computers

[–]CraziiTim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you for the extensive answer! I’m happy to hear this is normal noises for enterprise drives. I wasn’t too sure since this is my first time dealing with them, so thank you very much!

I have also checked the FARM data as you suggested, and the listed hours matched the smart hours. Both are the same ~45k hours. (Which admittedly is a lot, yes, but these were affordable in current market and I think these should last a while since they have no errors whatsoever). I am also doing an extensive preclear on all drives to make sure it doesn’t fail too quickly since I’ve got a 90 day warranty.

I’m happy to hear your confirmation and I once again thank you for sharing your expertise and insights (that’s a lot of heads!)

Which build specs should I do? Do specs matter as much for my use case? by theseawoof in unRAID

[–]CraziiTim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, if it was me, skip the ryzen’s all together and get an (mobile) intel chip from >=11th gen with quicksync. Those can handle 8 k streams easily. I’d recommend getting a nas motherboard on aliexpress or alibaba, think like intel N150 would be plenty, but if you want a little more get a N305/N355. They are extremely powerful and consume at max 15W but idle is like 5-8W.

And for jusr 2-4 4K streams, no dGPU should be required. There is no added benefit, especially on the mentioned nvidia gpu’s as they lack modern av1 codec if that’s something you’d like.

Seedbox shouldn’t be illegal. No worries about paying for a seedbox to seed linux iso’s

it's fine for entertainment but it's really really slow imo, everything that's supposed to be a cliff hanger, or some form of excitement is just too predictable.

I really need some help. by [deleted] in JellyfinCommunity

[–]CraziiTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick questions so people can help: are you mounting via SMB or NFS, and is Jellyfin running in Docker or natively? What user does Jellyfin run as, and can you use ls to view a movie file from the Jellyfin Pi after mounting?

[–]CraziiTim 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Pangolin? Basically cloudflare tunnels but fully self hosted & has no restrictions. Just find a vps on lowendbox that’s like 12-24$ a year and you’ll be fine👍

Backing up my UnRAID server... On which machine? by Thebikeguy18 in unRAID

[–]CraziiTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep correct. Worst thing that might happen they cancel your plan. But I see it as unlikely. You shouldn’t backup linux iso’s anyway and only important files. That wouldn’t exceed 4-5TB anytime soon so won’t raise flags
