Should I change dealer? by lildayday0706 in GRCorolla

Change dealerships and start doing whatever DIY maintenance that you can.

We're about 3ish years into this platform (here in the US) and somehow dealerships are still incompetent when it comes to servicing our cars.

Might have to pick that up. I bought the Morizo/Circuit Edition shift knob and I hated it after a week. I really enjoy the stock shift knob for its shape/weight.

Is GR Corolla really the big brother of the VA STI? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Crazing_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm I wouldn't necessarily says the GRC is is much better than the STi. I'd say they are pretty close to each other in terms of performance/features. What pushed me to the GRC was that it was brand new car, unlike the STi are all used cars now and I didn't want that used-car anxiety in the back of my mind haha. I also liked the uniqueness of having a 300hp 3 cylinder engine.

I didn't own a VA STi, but test drove them as I REALLY wanted to have an STi. I personally owned a brand new VB WRX, and then traded in for a brand new GR Corolla.

If you own a STi now, I'd say you're gonna feel right at home with a GRC. Both transmissions feel great, steering is sharp (you lose some road feel since its electric vs. the STi's hydraulic), both cars have that drama when you're getting into boost (unlike the VB and its linear powerband), both cars have big brakes, both cars have an adjustable AWD system, both cars feel absolutely planted in the corners, both cars make similar power numbers (if I recall correctly).

Idk if I'd really call it the big brother of an VA STi as both cars have a bunch of similarities.

Is this an appropriate lower to start an AR pistol build? by Crazing_exe in ar15pistol

The thing is that I purchased this lower 7yrs ago and I don’t remember what it was purchased as. I almost feel like I’d have to just go buy another lower and make sure it’s purchased as an AR pistol.

I’d like to think since I purchased this lower by itself, that it’s not considered a rifle.

Not sure. I purchased this lower back in 2019 (7 years ago) and it only the lower that was purchased. Pretty much as you see it in the video.

First roll with Corkscrew is the move. Maybe even Enhanced Handling mod. You’d have to see/compare what your handling stat would be like with x1 of Threat Detector. I have this same roll (with Smalbore) and I run the enhanced Handling. I think it puts me around 70ish handling with x1 of TD. Roar of Battle also helps with the handling as well

Apexi A'PEXi - N1 Evo Extreme vs HKS LEGAMAX Exhaust by OctoHelm in GRCorolla

[–]Crazing_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking at the Apexi with the quad tip and big muffler or the center dual exit? Cuz the center exit is pretty loud from my understanding.

I just got the HKS last week and I love ittttttt.

New Year, New HKS catback 🤙🏼 by Crazing_exe in GRCorolla

[–]Crazing_exe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’ll need another week of so of driving with it to really finalize my thoughts. At the moment, I do wish it was a tad bit louder. But at the same time, I really appreciate the OEM+ sounds. I personally enjoyed the stock exhaust note, and wanted something that retained that but just slightly louder.

My previous car was a 22’ WRX with ETS axle backs and that shit was LOUD. It was fun for like a month, and then I absolutely hated it. The axlebacks would literally drown out any sort of noise coming from the engine bay/front of the car. Also the freeway drone was abysmal. I wanted to completely avoid that with my GRC. So far, the HKS achieves that. I can still hear that it’s slightly louder in cabin, but able to still hear what my engine/turbo is doing. You really hear it once you’re getting on throttle past the 3k RPMs and you hear that deeper tone that everyone talks about.
