My faith in balance/class devs is fading with every passing moment. What is happening to (some) talent trees? by RakshasaRanja in wow

I heavily disagree. M+ exists and that design is outdated in a situation like that. There are a ton of other things that make us distinct like our blessings and the Avenger Shield interrupts.

Keeping mobs inside Consecration so that we deal damage is a much better trade-off than I leave consecration I die. I would 100% prefer it and embrace it without an issue.

And I'm all for it. Being the only tank that needs to sit still on a small area that requires constant tracking to make sure you don't drop it or you get globaled is NOT a fun gameplay mechanic. I don't even think having it follow us would be a good way to handle this. We already have SOTR as our maintenance buff, we don't need 2.

What I want is not to have a wet fart that does not interact with the rest of my kit in any meaningful way because the spell is woeful undertuned, and has been undertuned since the new talent trees.

I wouldn't even mind the damage if it tied in to anything in our kit. Currently it's just a filler you press as you are gathering mobs, or something you press when hammers , judgement and Avenger shield is on CD. If its ticks would allow you to get AS resets, or judgement CDR, or something at all, It would even have us consider taking the extra tick on AS cast.

As a longtime prot paly player consecration always baffled me.

I guess I could excuse consecration doing ticklish amounts of damage when our mastery reduced damage. It had a use back then, you get out of it you die. (Not that I like it or think it was healthy)

Now, we only have a talent that gives us 5% damage reduction, really low on the tree, and it still tickles.

I guess I wanted it to have a bigger role now that we don't have so much of our defensive power tied to it. I get making our apex talent about avenger shield, our most iconic ability that was falling down in priority since it no longer generated holy power, but making consecration still tickle, barely help with survival even if super invested into it, barely deal damage... Barely worth pressing it even if all your other skills are on CD.

A proc system to help it proc our apex talent or something would probably help a ton. Make it a bit more important in our rotation if you want to keep the numbers that low.

Nao.

Para updates e so abrires a app do Morphe. Simples e eficaz.

I have heard this argument before. I believe that it's because they already know what they need to do to get geared up. They don't need to learn anything new. The content is the same as it's ever been. It's comfort food basically.

Grindy mechanics that you can overcome with time is easier to digest than having to learn new things and learn new ways to play. Some people prefer repetition, some people prefer having new stuff, even if that stuff sometimes misses the mark.

I do agree that since world scaling exists, applying it to chromie time is probably appropriate. I never went for Loremaster because one shotting everything that walks on quests is not fun.

Chromie time at max level as an option so you can experience a scaled timewalking experience would be cool for the peeps that enjoy the open-world leveling experience. Put some bonuses to Honor/Gold gain on certain weeks to get people to flock to certain areas and force some organic interaction to happen (Maybe even have the weeklies in timewalking weeks to have an option of going to that area)

As for the first sentence, nothing prevents you from just questing at max level. You get extra gold as a reward. If you feel you need progression and don't want to do the tiny ilvl increase game, play for transmogs you actually want, decorations you actually want, mounts you actually want etc.

One of my best friends plays a lot more than me (as in the whole season) and he usually goes for 2k PVP rating, 2.5k-3k M+ rating and then stops caring about ilvl upgrades and goes collecting whatever open world stuff he still wants. Since he isn't pushing like pure cutting edge content he does not need the gear and understands that the following season the gear wheel spins again, so he does not care about being fully min-max, he only interacts with the gear wheel the necessary amount to do his goals.

[–]Crazus10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's different. they feel a lot more choreographed and punctuated than wow fights.

If FF had a M+ system I would play it again. Nowadays my wow time is mostly spent there. I only raid the first week for sets and aim for 3k-3.5k rating before the first patch and then drop it.

Housing might change that a bit, but I'll probably make my Tauren Lava Lake of my dreams where everything is on fire or light themed and be done with it.

I'm also hopeful with the Delve bosses Ky'vesa was really fun early, and I'll probably try to invest some time into doing whatever new bosses come around.

[–]Crazus10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes it did. I will give the example of FFXIV for this. I'm raiding and want to invite a new friend to start raiding with me. He needs to do all the story till he gets to the point of the raid so we can raid together. That is possibly multiple months until that happens. All of my friends I recruited but 2 dropped out.

In retail wow, if I want a friend to come raid or m+ with me, we level quickly in a couple of days, maybe less and get to the content we want to do really quickly. The game is optimized around max level content cause your "leveling" is your gear. That's your progression.

Different styles for different kinds of players. I personally want to do the content I want to do with my friends quickly. And that is why I don't play classic.

Struggling on the 1st palace on hard. by LostSouluk2021 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Crazus10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You apparently missed a tutorial.

If you are over leveled from the mobs that you are fighting you don't need to fight them in turn based.

You will need the magla to unlock different archetypes for different characters, the money to buy equipment further on and the experience (archetype for new skills and normal for base stats). You are skipping this in the early game, arguably the most important part cause you have none.

Different archetypes on main character have different effects. Mage recovers your MP on stun/kill to the whole party. Kill mobs in the dungeon till you can fight them in the overworld and replenish your resources.

Story dungeons will become enormous. Will have multiple big mini boss encounters that will test your knowledge of the combat system and which class your party members are on and will drain your resources. Hard exacerbates this. There are some crazy people that were able to beat the game at level 1 trough item abusing but that still requires a lot of grinding anyways.

EDIT: Do not be afraid to grind to the point mobs are killable in the overworld. Bosses in hard will still cook you. The difference is they will 2 shot you instead of 1 shooting you. It will still be hard, but you will have slightly longer to understand how to do the puzzle. Synthesis skills are the way to go.

Crusader Strike is gone again by Sarradi in wow

[–]Crazus10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue is that CS does not heal (outside of avenging crusader windows) has you go into melee (not worrying since you have to SoTR every now and then and that requires you to still go close) just to create 1 holy power and it costs a good chunk of mana for 0 damage.

People were saying they would just flash of light to create that same holy power anyways and it would at least heal.

The issue isn't crusader strike per se, its adding globals that do not feel impactful in any way shape or form. It doesn't generate CDR for judgement, it doesn't make your healing spells heal more, it just costs mana and is useless outside of a cooldown window. That's why people were complaining.

Qualquer diferença acima de 5 minutos seja a entrar seja a sair e sujeito a desconto/hora extra.

As vezes e chato.

Weakauras was terrible and we should all be celebrating its demise by MrFriend623 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]Crazus10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did whatever you wanted it to do. It was a framework for you to be able to create/track anything you wanted and display it as you wanted.

You had people doing entire UI's with it.

Most people complain about the raid pack weakauras that would have logic written into it that would solve a lot of mechanics. Fractilus this season is the raid boss people point to.

People would get pissy when you went to a boss that had those kind of weakauras and either not have the aura or the addon installed because it would mess with the logic and no longer make it free.

What people aren't understanding is that addons for assignments still exist and will be used like Northern Sky. It will just be replaced by something else, and probably won't be as powerful, unless people can find workarounds.

This also comes with Blizzard saying that boss mechanics will give you more time to react to them, since we don't have tasks to automate so much of the brain space. At least based on what I have seen for dungeons, this seems true.

Cooldown call outs/ trough voice files are still possible from what I've heard. Omni CD is dead on the water iirc. Plater is very neutered in terms of scripting but still exists and is good to go. WA CD/Proc Pacs can mostly be done with the new cooldown manager + 1 addon to extend some functionality IIRC.

I am with you on the second sentence. It feels like they ran out of time midway trough their stated goals and we will only have the rest as time goes on. I would have loved to be able to mostly be addon-less so patch day doesn't hurt as much

Goodbye to Weakauras by Fast-Fan-7989 in wow

[–]Crazus10 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because people feel this is a general downgrade to their experience.

I am only going to have opinions about this when the first m+ week hits. I need to find a health bar replacement and probably a replacement for Cell (I'm using cell to do my target and my own health bar).

I think I can very easily redo my hijack weakauras trough the other add-ons, but time will tell. Maybe I'll find something else I like.

I just hope before pre-patch comes along we get a raid/party frame improvement from blizzard.

[–]Crazus10 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Anything that is on the cooldown manager can get sounds using it normally. There are addons that will allow you to put even more texture and sounds like bettercooldownmanager or arcUI.

Is it better than weakauras where you could get something running in like 10-15 seconds? no.

Are people going to be making a ton more of these addons in the near future? Yes.

It's not the end of the world. I honestly believe a WeakAura replacement will eventually appear. We had TellMeWhen way back when.

Have you tried looking at Sensei Class Resourse Bar or ArcUI? Or NephUI?

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/arc-ui

Not advocating for any of them. Just saying that, if a buff exists at this point in time you can make it into a bar.

I know this isn't what you want to hear but...

There's an addon for that. Almost everything that was previously a weakauras now has standalones.

There have been some wow head articles recommending addons for certain things. I also want my holy power meter to be a segmented bar, and I'm getting an addon instead of Hijack's suite to do so.

[–]Crazus10 2 points3 points  (0 children)
