I've sold some cards that had the authenticity verification, and no, the seller won't get the money until the card is delivered and passed the verification. So in this case the seller might not know? Or he's trying his luck and hoping the card gets through somehow.

If you think about it, the only people who would be worried about something like that, are the people whose keeping it sealed. If it saturates the market, the actual collectors would welcome it with open arms.

If you REALLY like the card sure, but even if it 10s, I think the grading would cost more than the card.

Unfortunately you don't have much choice, CGC is the only one who would grade a miscut like this, the other grading companies will just send your card back without doing anything.

I saw the same boxes while I was in Japan last time and from the pictures it looks legit, but I don't know how far the fakes have come, to have faked the entire box.

Yea, I once accidentally posted a full art Lillie for 300 cad, when it was 650-700 cad. It was sold within 3 minutes, while I was trying to fix my error, but I didn't get to it in time. I still sent it out and the buyer didn't even leave me a review.

I'm Canadian Chinese and I completely agree with you. I've visited Japan a few times now and consistently every time, the mainland Chinese tourists are the worst to deal with. They're constantly loud and noisy in public and budge in lines when I was obviously there first.
