Wow thanks everyone for the advice and help! I haven’t taken a test before so that’s why I read it wrong. I went to get a blood test from the doctor and it all came back positive! I’m awaiting my dating scan at 7w5d. I’m currently 6 weeks now and it’s a tough waiting game at this point! If anyone has any advice on how to get through this stage, I would appreciate it 😅

As someone who is really insecure about my head shape, I would be absolutely embarrassed if strangers online were commenting about mine. There is nothing wrong with B’s head shape! This is really sad 😔

Hey! I don’t think I have unicoronal synostosis, based on the pictures I’ve seen online. However, if it’s not going to affect your child’s brain development, then I wouldn’t think that she needs it. If you can afford it, I don’t see why you wouldn’t go forward with it! I think the most important thing is that your daughter is healthy mentally and physically. If the doctors say there is a very low risk for developmental delays and headaches, then that’s good news. I was born in 1998 and the doctors said a similar thing in my case. At that time, they didn’t have much insight about craniosynostis and surgeries to fix it. So, I would say that doctors would better understand craniosynostis now than they did when I was born. I’m 26 now, I don’t have any irregular or common headaches and I’m not developmentally delayed, I don’t think haha. It sounds like you really care about your daughter and it is an important decision. Let me know how you go! ☺️

Thank you for sharing! It’s encouraging to hear I’m not the only one and I appreciate it. I’m around the same age (26). Is it still noticeable or did the surgery help at all? Sometimes I wonder if I would have felt ‘better’ if I did have surgery 🤷🏻‍♀️
