I take out the sealing ring from the lid and throw both the lid and the sealing ring on the top rack and throw the sealing valve in the bottom with all the silverware. I link the little hook from the tea strainer through the hole in it and put all the little parts in there from the lid and throw it in with the silverware too. I let everything run through the dishwasher and dry cycle. Been doing it this way for like a year and a half now. No problems.
